On the day of there sophomore Spring fling in high school Alice Dean and Cody planned a ride to the school with Deans date tagging along. Cody bought Alice a beautiful rose from farmers market in a pot because Alice never liked it when the boys plucked the flower right off, separating the roots from the flower leaving it to shrivel up in a matter of days.
Before leaving Alice put the pot with the rose neatly planted inside on the dining table, so she could nurture it when she came back.
She remembered when Dean and Cody first picked her a flower when they were 9 years old as a sign of friendship and she remembered how she told them the flower had no chance of having a life because they plucked it for her. But she said it was sweet. Alice smiled at the thought while pouring some water in the pot for the rose.
"Alice you ready to go" Cody said peaking through the front door into the dinning room Alice turned around. She placed the jug back on the table."Yeah I am coming" she said walking up to Cody she put her arm through his and the started walking down the dirt path to the car "Thank you again for the rose Cody."
"My pleasure" he said as he kissed her cheak. Alice smiled at him.
They got close to the driveway and Dean quickly shouted out to them "Come on guys" he said with Sabrina's arm chained to Deans just like Alice's was with Cody's.
"Sorry for keeping you guys waiting" Alice said.
"No Problem Alice we just got here to" Alice smiled at him and Sabrina.
They looked so good together.
Alice was so happy Dean got asked this time so he wouldn't have to the dance with her. He deserves someone who would build up the courage to ask HIM to the dance instead of her just supposedly going with him.
They got in the car and drove off to school.
"Okay guys have a good time. I will be back at 11:00 to pick you up" Alice's dad said as he rode off.
"Thank you" each of them said while he rode off. All four of them went inside the school and walked into the beautifully decorated gym.
