Tough Luck #1

Is It True?

Grade 11 is difficult but Alice, Cody and Dean are ready and they're use to high school so it's not that difficult anymore.
They get ready for their eleventh annual spring fling. Alice joined a horse riding team outside of school and she's not sure if she could go to the dance with Dean even though he actually asked her this time. Alice really wanted to go with him but she has her compition this evening.

"Hey its okay. Don't beat yourself up about it" Dean said through the phone."I'll just go by myself or I'll ask someone else" Dean continued.
Alice smiled at his attempt to make her feel better although it made her feel even worse. "Okay thanks for making my feel like crap. It totally worked. But it's the first time you actually asked me and I don't won't to let you down. I'll just forfeit"
Alice said
"Yeah... ah...no are you cazy! This is the first thing you have a passion for I can't let you quit. You are doing that compition Alice and your doing it for your self okay your not going to quit because an idiot thought you'd go with him to a stupid dance!"
"Hey don't call your self an idiot. Honestly that was the bravest thing you ever did and I am the idiot for distroying that. That was like a tradition that we had and it was really important to you" Alice said
"Yeah well your event is more important" Dean said "Hey I got to go and finish my homework." Dean said.
"Okay bye. See ya tomorrow" Alice said. "Bye" Dean said smiling

Next day at school

"Hey Dean did you finish the homework!" Cody said running after Dean who was walking with Alice to their first period class. "Yeah man. why you didn't?" Dean asked "NO I left 3 period to hang out with Megan" Cody practically yelled.
"Okay okay relax here" Dean asked un-zipping his bag and taking out the sheet. Cody reached for it Dean pulled it back "don't copy word for word" Dean said then handed it to him. Cody ran off with the paper.
"Brothers right? " Alice said in a 'I know how you feel' type voice.
Dean laughed "you said it"

After school-8:30pm

"So your going...last minute...with Sabrina" Cody said getting on Dean's last nerve.
"Yes how much times do I have to tell you" Dean said fixing his tie in the mirror looking extremely annoyed.
"Will I just figured you'd be more angry at Alice for saying no, and that you wouldn't even go" Cody said lying down on his bed
Dean took a deep breath "I know but I don't mind. this compition is very important to her and I want her to win" he explained.
"We should be there for Alice well you should, considering everyone thinks you guys are dating" Cody said sitting up on the bed.
"Can you just stop she doesn't want me there!!! We aren't going out, because she wants to be friends and its better off that way. I hate to jeprodise our friendship. So just bug off okay!" Dean said in frustration looking at him from the mirror. Cody look confused yet he had a smirk growing on his face. Dean just looked down with his head in his hands. He had just told the biggest rumor mill how he felt about Alice. Dean grabbed his phone and rushed out the room all ready for the spring fling and ready to not here a word from Cody for the whole night.
