After Dean stormed out the house he ran straight to Mr. Gonra's barn to see if Maple would be there he picked up the small dog statue standing beside the front door of the barn and took the key out from under it.That dog always brought joy to Alice, Dean and Cody they would act like mother and father and uncle to the statue they would fed it take it for walks and play with it.
Dean unlocked the doors and went inside he walked down the short pathway to Maples stable she wasn't there. That means Alice already left. Dean stared at the empty stable and sat down were he was standing.

"Who's in here?" Dean heard Mr. Gonra yelling in a stern manly voice. Dean heard the sound of a rifle getting ready to shot as it click back.
"Mr.Gonra it's me... Dean" Dean said getting up and slowly heading toward Alice's dad.
"Dean what are you doing here my boy?" Mr. Gonra said suprised and happy to see it wasn't a wolf or something.
"I just came here to see if Alice left already, with Maple" Dean said looking down embarrassed
Mr.Gonra smiled.
"I'm sorry." Dean apologized
"Do you want me to give you a ride to the competition I was just about to go up there myself" Dean smiled and nodded "thank you sir" he replied.
"Come on. We will give your folks a ring to on the way there"

"So what about Sabrina? Are you gonna let her go by herself." Alice's Dad asked Dean. Mr.Gonra knew there father tought them better.
"Oh no. I totally forgot. Excuse me Mr. Gonra I have to call her and appoligize."

"Hello Sabrina I am so sorry I have to go to the horse race competition with Alice's Dad. I promise I will make it up to you. Okay. On Sunday you can come over and Mr.Gonra agreed to drive us anywere" Alice's dad gave Dean a suprised puzzled look.

Alice's dad has always had great fun hanging out with the two boys and his daughter. The four of them would go to the riverbank and play there for hours. Alice's dad loved to hangout with them and play football because even though he has five son's they think it's to boring. After all they use to live in the city. So they were use to city life and playing basketball with their friends.

Dean give Mr. Gonra a pleading look begging him to agree.
"Fine" Mr. Gonra smiled.
" Thanks" Dean said as he covered the bottom half of his cell to prevent Sabrina from hearing the minor argument.
"Okay Sabrina thanks for understanding" Dean said ending the call. And flipping close his phone and shoving it in his pocket.

"So what did she say" Alice's dad said as he took a left turn not taking his eyes of the road.
"Well she said she's fine and she said thanks for the call. I asked her if she was mad but she said she was fine with going out for lunch or something with me."

"Well I know Alice will be really happy to see you there" Mr. Gonra said smiling.
" Yeah well last night on the phone she yelled at me for telling her that I was going to her Competition." Dean explained
Mr. Gonra smiled as if he had known what his daughter did and why.
"You know she..." Mr.Gonra started before he realized it was not his compliment to say.
"She what?" Dean asked.
"Nothing. Forget I said anything" Mr. Gonra said smiling.
" So what are you going to say to her when we get there" Mr.Gonra said changing the subject.
"Am I suppose to say something" Dean asked.
"Well its your choice" Mr. Gonra smiled as he pulled into the parking lot.
Dean thought about what he was supposed say as he got unbundled his seat belt opened the door of the car and stepped out.
