Just one Kiss

"Meet me in the field" Dean read the text he received from Alice.
"5 minutes" he replied.
It was 9:00pm an hour after the riding competition. Dean shoved his phone in his pocket grabbed his keys and ran down the stairs. He grabbed his jacket and went out the front door.

He ran towards the field behind his house. It was getting colder and the wind blew through his hair. He could see another figure moving just as he was. It was Alice with her hair flowing behind her. The kids had three lawn chairs set up in the middle of the field were there was no street lights and a perfect view of the stars.

Dean got to the chairs first he took a deep breath and plopped down on the chair. Alice reached just a minute after.

"Hey first place winner. What's up?"Dean said smiling. Alice laughed.
"I'm still shook I can't believe I won!"
"Yeah well you deserved it. Now what did you wanna talk about?"

"Oh yeah I got you something for saving my ass in the woods and missing the dance" Alice continued to smile as she took the object out of her pocket. It was a Walkman tape player she pressed play and I swear by All 4 one started to play. "I owe you a dance" Alice said as she held out her hand. Dean laughed and then grabbed her hand smiling. Alice smiled back pulling him up

They danced to the music together. Dean put his hand on Alice's waist and Alice wrapped her hands around Deans neck. "So what are you going to do to celebrate your win?" Dean asked as they continued to dance.
"I don't know me and dad might go out for dinner or something like that." Alice said.
"You're welcome to join" Alice continued.
"No come on its a father daughter victory you should celebrate it your selves"
Alice let out a chuckle.
"You looked handsome tonight" Alice said. "Expecially for some one at a riding competition"

Dean laughed. Alice looked at him and let out a giggle.
"No one told me I was suppose to dress casual." Dean and Alice laughed even harder. Then the lighting died down, they got serious they stared into each other eyes.
"You look beautiful under the moon light." Dean said. Alice didn't know what to say. Dean leaned in slowly for a kiss. Alice slowly leaned into. Dean and Alice pressed their lips against each others. They kissed for 10 seconds and then moved apart they slowly opened their eyes and stared into each others eyes. Alice was the first to look away Dean kept staring at her.

"Whats wrong?" Dean stared at her trying to figure it out.
Alice looked back at him smiling "Nothing but I can't. Not right now. I mean we're friends. "

"Yeah of course. I'm... uh.. I'm sorry, I guess." Dean said confused.
"No Dean I don't mean it like that it's just..."
"No no I understand...I should go" Dean said as he backed away from Alice and started running home.
"Bye" Alice said as he was far from her still running.
