Ch. 41

I sat with Tao on the couch, Natasha and Kyungsoo sitting beside us, In-Soo in Natasha's arms. He was just so beautiful, I couldn't put it into words. All I could do was look at him. His tiny fingers were wrapped around his father's index finger, barely able to reach all around his finger.

"...hold him?" Natasha asked, and I looked up, snapping out of it.

"Huh?" I asked, not quite sure what she had said.

She smiled, letting out a little laugh. "I asked if you wanted to hold him." She repeated, and I smiled happily, nodding my head.

She carefully transferred him into my arms, and I looked down at his little face, unable to do anything but smile. "He's amazing." I whispered, and watched as Tao gently took his hand, In-Soo's fingers taking his fingertips.

Seeing that sight made my heart skip a beat, and I realized how much I wanted a family of my own. I looked up at Tao, giving him a big smile, and he returned it. I've decided, I want to start a family with Tao.

Later that night, Brynn wandered into the kitchen, rubbing her tired eyes, and she almost didn't notice me standing at the fridge. "Oh...hey Khristi." She said, shuffling towards me.

"Hey." I smiled, pulling out three bags of blood. "You come to get a snack?" I asked, and she nodded. I quickly reached into the fridge again and grabbed another bag, closing the fridge as I turned to leave, handing her the bag. "There you go." I said, then left, returning back upstairs.

I entered Kyungsoo's room without knocking, not wanting to wake up In-Soo and Natasha, and made my way over to Kyungsoo's desk. "Here you go." I whispered as quietly as I could, placing two of the three bags onto the desk in front of the half asleep Kyungsoo.

"Mmmm...Thanks..." He said, his elbow on the desk, his head resting in his hand. He then sat up in his chair, taking one of the bags for himself, biting into it with out a second thought.

"Oh, uh..." I began, a little grossed out, and he quickly mumbled an apology. "It's okay, don't worry about it." I smiled. "Well, I'm going to go back to bed now. Come get me if you need anything." I said, and quietly made my way out of the room, then walked down the hall to mine and Tao's room, quietly closing the door behind me once I entered.

I had ended up moving into his room, Natasha moving into Kyungsoo's. Brynn wound up having our old room to herself. I smiled, wondering just how many people would live here with us in the future.

"Hey." I smiled when I saw Tao sitting on the couch, a book in his hands. I made my way over to him and placed the bag beside him, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"Hey, thanks." He smiled, still reading.

"Uh huh." I replied, and made my way over to the bed, crawling back under the blankets happily. I laid there for a few seconds before turning to face him. "You going to come to bed anytime soon?" I asked. "You've been reading for the last couple hours it's almost sunrise."

"Really?" He asked, and glanced out the window. "Oh..."

I smiled, and watched as he saw the sun being to climb out from behind the horizon. He stood, returning the book back to it's place on the small bookshelf in the corner, then closed the blinds.

"I didn't realize it was that late." He admitted, quickly drinking the bag of blood, then threw the bag into the trash can. After that he quickly changed into some sweat pants, pulling off his shirt, then climbed into bed. "Sorry for keeping you up." He said, pulling me over to him, wrapping his arms around me.
