The shivering sunlight,
That brought a shimmering ray
Down upon
The glimmering dew covered Earth,
Had disappeared...
Long back at the dusk of winters. Now, I could hear the rhythm,
The song of the monsoon rain.
And with it I could fathom,
The wisdom of the arriving evening,
As the devilish burning
Of the candle died. The violets were dancing,
Like a group of pop stars
Wearing their jacket of raindrops,
And brimming with glamour
In the limelight of our gaze. The consistent patter was ceasing,
With the dramatic drum rolls of the sky.
But my soul could still relish
That splendour and soothing hum
Before the thunder storm began. The song of the rain finally went inaudible.
But I didn't give out a weeping melody,
Because I knew-
"To have something,
better or once more...
I have to let it go away,
Once or once again."__________________________________
