Far away in a hamlet,
There was a small, little house
With a garret.
Every night a cherub used to come,
And sit beside the window,
Waiting and waiting and waiting...
To see the golden doe,
Of her dreams.Waiting and waiting and waiting
Almost lulls her asleep.
So, she had a casket along with her.
Which had a cover very hazy,
But was curved and garnered marvellously.
It was small and tiny,
And could be touched by none
But her.The content inside were mysteriously simple.
It had a piece of cashmere printed in rainbows,
And also a cashew,
Made from pure silver
And it had a curved capsule,
Which had a carmine hue
And looked like a statue. They were her companion items
Which fit the tiny casket
And she kept them like gems.
Every dark night,
She'd arrange them,
Again and again and again...
While waiting to see the golden doe,
Of her dreams. But every night passes by,
And a new dawn arives...
She never has got to see her doe
Cause she falls asleep quickly,
Or the morn arrives too early
And wakes her up
From her dreams to reality.__________________________________
A/N: I hope you understood the poem and liked it.
This one is my first poem. When I wrote this I was in class seven at that time and even though this seems simple, some of the lines have a hidden meaning behind. Its okay if you couldn't find them but I would be ecstatic if you did. Thanks for reading! :)
