The Last Ones

Chapter 2

A/N Wassup, i know ive been not updating but....ok ok im lazy. And algebra has been stressful and the concert contest is coming up and since im first trumpet i have to lead! and NJHS inductions are soon and im president of that....geesh. 

Kameko closes the door behind us and rushes to the oven. I take a seat at the island and watch as she pulls out a pan of double chocolate chip cookies. I inhale the smell of butter and chocolate and feel my muscles relax but im still sore. I groan out loud as she puts a plate of them right in front of me and hands me one. I take a bite and scream as the hot chocolate burns my mouth. I rush to the faucet and take gulps of water until the burning subsides. "Are you trying to kill me?" i interrogate her. " Oh im sorry but you werent supposed to eat it yet." she giggles. I sigh as i pull her over to a chair and i take one myself. I tell her all about how me and Bali fought but left out the peices where he had touched me. That part was too weird to talk about. "And i had no choice but to kill him!"  Fear was all over her face and i thought she would hurt me because i had attacked her old alpha. I flinched when she raised her hand but she just handed me another cookie. " Sorry im on edge, i ran for days to get here." I pointed to my bruised hands and to the scratches lining my face. She opened her mouth to say something but a knock at the door interupted her. "Oh i invited Kado over." She informed me while she blushed. I wiggled my eyebrows at her and she slapped my sore shoulder. "Ow." I shout, but she shushes me with a finger to her lips. She turns and opens the door. "Kado!"The oak door speaks open and in pops Kado. He is tall, alittle taller than Kameko so about 5'6, and has shining black hair with matching dark brown eyes. Instantly i distrust him. Why does he look so shocked? He glares right at me and Kameko rushes to stand in front of me. "Kameko, why is there a WERECAT in here!?" He asks, fear brimming in his manly voice. Woah, Harsh bro. I physically flinch and push myself up off the stool. I put down my cookie and brush myself off. Cuts all over my body sting and the bruises on my hands look purple and blue. "Kameko," i interupt their silent argument," Can i go like shower or something?" She turns her head and her beautiful black hair whips around. Why does everyone have black hair? Is it like a trend or something i wasnt told about... "Yeah go ahead its right over there." She points past the sofa to a door. I silently stumble away as they begin arguing. "Kameko she is dangerous! What if they find out?" "Kado i dont care, she has saved my life before, its my turn." Kado sighs in defeat and i shut the door to the bathroom, trapping their argument from getting inside. Or stopping me from getting out. I shake my head at that thought and begin undressing. In the large wall to ceiling mirror opposite the sink, i look at all my cuts. Multiple lacerations line my right shoulder and there are several scratches down my back. I go to the large shower and turn on the hot. Yes, i shall bathe in the waters of Mordor. I chuckle at myself for the nerd joke and keep bathing. When im done, i jump out, feeling renewed. I sigh and dry myself off with the plush towel. Right as im drying my hair, i hear glass break. My senses immeadiatly perk up and i listen in. With my eay to the door, i listen to the storm brewing only a few feet outside the dark oak door. "No!" Kameko screams," There is no criminal here. I-I dont know what your talking about." "Shes right." Kado agrees. "Well, we heard there is, so tell us or hm... die." A familiar voice threatens."Thanos, What are you doing here?" I scream at the intruder interrogating my friends. "Oh Aleris." Thanos sighs as he throws himself at me. I give him a bear hug and feel a tear slip from my eye. I wipe it away as he pulls away from me. "What are you doing here?" He glances back at Kado and Kameko as his expression changes to bleakness. "There is a rumor that you killed a very high up alpha, Bali, the whole were world is freaking out!" He yells while wildy gesturing. "Please tell me you didnt kill the highest alpha in the freaking world." He laughs. "Oh well about that, um he attacked me! I had no choice." I sigh. I gesture to all the bandaged cuts all over me. His eyes go wide," Then we have got to run! Your not safe here, if i found out so easily. And im a weredear, we are the last to know things." "Yeah well your also my brother so it makes since for you to find out first." He rolls his eyes," I also saw a pack of wolves heading this way. Lets go." He grabs my arm and begins pulling me toward the door. "What about Kado and Kameko?" He glances back at them. Kameko puts her hands on her hips," Yeah i love adventure." Kado shrugs. "Yay adventure!" I scream. We all walk out the door with nothing, not even a backpack. But Weres can do that. Thanos shifts into a large stag with 18 points all together. Kado shifts into a light blackish grey wolf with brown eyes. He is only a few shades darker than bali. I shiver. Kameko shifts into a white wolf and me into the white tiger with extra long canines. I trot over to Thanos and bump into him. He looks down at me, Yes down, hes taller than me but i weigh more. Im not fat. I chuckle to myself. Ill definetly lose weight over our journey. By the way where are we going? I ask myself but just shrug. We will find out when we get there.
