The plane rumbled as it bounced down the runway. People clogged the airport. I did not like it one bit. Too stuffy, too humid, i dont know how the people of South America could deal with it. After one look around, i decided that it was definelty not my forte, ill stick to pine trees and snow anyday.

"Mannix, i miss home."  i say sadly, nostalgia brimming in my voice. He bumps my shoulder playfully, but i reach my hand for his, and we silently hold hands until we left the airport.

Since the airport was out of city limits, we decided we would risk shifting until we could find a place to camp. Mannix the black lion, Kado the grey wolf, Kameko the white wolf, and me the white sabor tooth tiger. I took a few steps, making sure i wasnt jet lagged too badly, and then sprinted, setting the pace. Mannix easily kept up, but the wolves lagged behind, but stayed within ear shot. "Mannix", I panted," How much farther do you think?" I saw his eyes dart up to the sun for a second.

"I would say, maybe an hour until we reach a good campsite." So far, the weather was still warm for us, but we managed. Or we did manage until we saw a shadow chasing us. The black object covered me and mannix as we ran, so we both looked up. I could barely notice the outline of...the dragon? Of course, we invited Alon and her dragon. How could i forget? I slam my paws on the ground and skid to a stop. Mannix keeps running for a few feet before relizing i had quit, he too slams on the breaks. The wolves trot up to us. Cats are better sprinter than dogs, but we dont have as much stamina as them. We all look up and watch Alon skillfully circle down until she lands the four legged, winged, lizard. "Hey, you guys almost forgot me! But me and Akel followed yall." Her southern accent makes me giggle. She defiently is not from alaska, which is where us four are from. But now here we are in south america, overwhelming. I sneeze and rub my sore paw on my nose. "How long have we been running?" I growl to Mannix. I would ask the wolves but we cant communicate, different species and all. "A few hours?" He guesses. I see the sun slipping down below the horizon. "Cats are noctornal. We could keep going." He thinks this over," What about the wolves? and im sure the dragon is tired too." I nod at his reply. But i didnt plan on listening to him.
