Thank you dear for this beautiful cover🙂The night was dark as an ominous curse, shrouding the forest. Hiding the evil that resides in its wake. I breathed heavily, as I prepare my trembling form to jump into unknown either to survive or perish. That's to be seen yet but whatever happens, It was absolutely clear. My eyes closed with their own accord, gasps leaving my shuddering body when he touched my jacket fearlessly I extended one foot, at that crucial moment a gun shot ran through the airy silence. When I turned I was utterly mystified, the scene in front of me was out of some action movie. Aarej was fighting monstrously with the two men while, the third one who had voraciously attempted to touch me was laying in his own pool of blood. His face filled with such malice that I couldn't keep the scream eliciting from my dry throat. It caused Aarej as he looked my way worried in the next instant, one of the men swing at Aarej furiously but what shocked me most was the look on Aarej's face whose eyes were charcoal black, a look that could only be described as murder, the ice-cold fury boring in those green depths chilled me to my bones. It was like the devil himself had peered into my eyes sucking the very life out of them. It was that mind numbing, at that moment I witnessed the formidable, indomitable, dangerous beast, Aarej khan.
He fought with two men, both of them weighing few hundred pounds more then him but he was relentless, fighting painstakingly, his fury backing him, both of them trying hard to bring him down but he was like a ferocious lion roaring endlessly, his rage a breathing living thing in the air. He kicked, punched, swinged at them horrendously, his intent to kill, to demolish, he was truly slaying them. His strikes lethal, he was a living, breathing killing machine suddenly, the shrewd man took out a blade & plunged towards Aarej's chest. A horrifying scream ripped out of my throat warning Aarej, at the last moment he turned missing by a second & the blade pierced through his forearm. I cried when I saw the gush of blood flowing out of his bicep. After this Aarej was simply unstoppable, he beat them brutally so incessantly or should I say frighteningly, he was beyond cruel. Grasping the blade he plunged it into their bodies ruthlessly, his moves swift & bloodthirsty hitting at the vulnerable points. Within ten mins, both of them were laying on the ground groaning, blood pouring out of their bodies endlessly. It was a bloody carnage, Aarej had completely slaughtered them.
Throwing a merciless glance at them, he snailed towards me, his t-shirt torn & bloodied, several bruises, cuts oozing with blood mared his handsome face & chest. His hair wild, untamed blood matted, his eyes cold like shards of ice glowing feral, his hand holding the bloody blade, he truly looked like a barbarian, a savage, a predator who had just annihilated the threats who dared touch what's his. This should have terrified me, I should have been disgusted rather, it warmed me that he protected me. He stopped two feet away from me scanning my face carefully, I just gazed at the hand holding the blade, seeing my stare he threw the blade carelessly. His face blank expecting me to freak out but I did the opposite I ran hugging him fiercely with blood & all. I accepted him the savage, barbarian & all I didn't care that he had just beat the living daylights out of two human beings so savagely neither, I was scared of him who was capable of such gruesome carnage. I sobbed in his warmth as he engulfed me in his protective arms tightly. My fingers clutching him so hard, my nails digging in his skin but I did not care, neither did he, we were lost in each other, relishing the feeling of being alive & safe. My sobs died into hicups, finally I calmed but the worry resurfaced I moved back, looking at his wound which was oozing so much blood. Concerned, I touched the edges & panicked watching him for signs of pain but he was oblivious to it all, he was staring at me intensely, not even blinking. I shook him lightly, calling when he embraced me back, his grip so tight like I will disappear. I rubbed his back realizing that he needed to make sure that I was fine, finally he relaxed then buried his face in my neck kissing it relentlessly. I couldn't lose myself in the poignant moment I reluctantly, backed away. His eyes immediately, weary or dare I say frightened at my distance. Calming him, I say softly but strongly
