Molly entered the morgue and went towards her desk to sit down on the chair. Suddenly, Sherlock entered the room but Molly showed no reaction, she just sat there staring at her hands.
"Molly?" Sherlock moved towards her. "Molly, are you alright?" he asked.

"Y-yes, Sherlock?" Molly's voice was raw as if she was crying.
"What is wrong? You don't look well. Your eyes are swollen from crying." Said Sherlock.
"My cat Toby died yesterday, I know it's silly to cry over a cat, I'm sorry." She said
"No, Molly it's okay. It was your pet anyways. I too had a dog named Redbeard, when I was younger. It died after sometime. I  still miss him a lot."
A single tear escaped Molly's eyes. Sherlock was surprised at that, he didn't know how to console someone.

"Do you want a cup of coffee?" He finally asked.
Molly nodded. Sherlock quickly went out of the morgue and when he returned few minutes later he handed the cup of coffee to Molly who thanked him in return.

Then he reached in his coat pocket and took out some chocolates and kept them in front of Molly.

"Why these chocolates?" She asked.
"Someone told me that chocolates remove sadness, so I brought some for you." Sherlock gave her a soft smile.

Molly smiled back "thank-you, Sherlock."

But Sherlock knew that there was still sorrow hidden behind her smile.

Molly switched the lights of the morgue off as Sherlock waited for her at the door. Finally she locked the doors of the morgue too and was about to leave with Sherlock when a small basket laying on the side of the Morgue's door caught her eyes. Her eyebrows furrowed as she gingerly moved towards it and Sherlock on the other hand didn't moved from his position, just looked at Molly with his infamous deduction-look.

Molly removed the cloth covering the basket reveling a kitten. She ran circles on the kittens cheek with her thumb as a smile grew on her face.

"Hope you liked it." She heard Sherlock's voice, and her smile grew even further.

"Thank-you Sherlock!" She turned around. "I loved it. Thank you." Then she hugged him tightly. Surprised at first, Sherlock hugged her back, smiling.

'I am not going to let that smile fade away, again, ever.' he promised to himself.

The End.
