"Sherlock there are two lizards in your room." Molly said to Sherlock, who was doing something on his laptop.
"So?" Asked Sherlock, not looking up from his laptop.
"Sherlock have you forgotten that me and John are here for a night stay and we three are going to sleep in your room?" Molly said, sounding irritated.
"No"
"Then do something to get rid of those lizards." She almost pleaded.
"I'm busy, you and John can do something about it." Sherlock said, still not looking up from his laptop.
"Sherlock, I'm busy too, why don't you help her?" Said John from where he was in the kitchen. Sherlock sighed and finally looked at Molly, "Why can't you get rid of the lizards without anybody's help?"
"Because I hate them."
"You are afraid of them." Said Sherlock flatly.
Molly sighed, "okay I'm afraid of them. Now please get rid of them!"
"Use a broom to take them out of the room." Sherlock suggested.
"No, I am not doing that." She said plainly.
"But those are just lizards, not dinosaurs who will rip you apart." He said.
"Still not doing it."
Sherlock sighed, "okay."
Then he went inside his room to look for the creepy creatures and when he found them he called out to Molly, "Molly, pass me the broom." When she came at the door of Sherlock's room with a broom in her hand, she saw two lizards climbing up the wall just opposite to her, which made her cringe a little.
"Molly, I can assure you that they are not gonna harm you." Sherlock said when he saw the look of disgust on Molly's face.
"I know, I just hate them. Hated them since my childhood, they are disgus--"
"Molly there's a lizard on the ceiling above you, co--"
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!" Molly threw her broom and ran out of the room in the lounge, "OH MY GOD! They are so creepy I hate them I hate them I hate them!!!!!"
"Molly" John called out to her as she continued screaming. "Molly!" John called her again, a little louder this time. Suddenly, Molly froze and silence filled the air. Molly looked at John, who looked at Sherlock, who now stood at the lounge too, looking at Molly, expressionless. Then he started laughing followed by John. Molly first glared at them, then she started laughing too.
"The way you shouted and ran into the lounge." Sherlock said while laughing.
Finally, when they recovered from their laughter, Molly was the one to speak first, "I am not sleeping in that room."
"But I've got rid of the lizards." Said Sherlock.
"Still not sleeping in there." Said Molly.
Sherlock sighed,"okay, we will shift this coffee table to the side and put mattresses here."
"I'll sleep on the couch, you two can sleep on the mattresses." John piped in.
Both Sherlock and Molly looked at John curiously, "uh...I have a back pain, so I can't sleep on the mattress." John said, nervously.
Sherlock sighed, clearly understanding what John was trying to do, but he didn't said anything and let John sleep on the couch. Why? He didn't know. Maybe he really wanted to sleep beside Molly? He quickly shook away the thought and brought two mattresses from his room.
~~~~~
Laying on the mattresses beside each other both Sherlock and Molly felt strange as well as comfortable. Without even knowing they both shifted a little closer to each other and held each other's hand. Few moments later they both fell asleep. John shot up and when he saw the both of them he smiled. He quickly took a picture of them and sent it to Mary with a text, 'It worked.'
Seconds later John's phone buzzed, he checked it,
'Told you. - Mary' Came Mary's reply. John couldn't help but smile at the message and at both of his sleeping friends.
The End.
