Chapter 4: The Confrontation

Me and Kusunagi were making our way to Athena. She is meant to be feared by everyone, but she was going to destroy this place if we don't do something.

"I think I know what she's after" Kusunagi says.

"What" I ask.

"Her Gorgoneion. If she gets it, she will reveal her true power" Kusunagi says in a serious tone.

"You mean that thing? I thought it was destroyed" I say, surprised.

"Well, it's not and if she gets it, it is prophesied that the world would come to an end" Kusunagi says.

"All the more reason I have to stop her" I say.

"Wait, you?" Kusunagi says.

"Me and Athena almost share the same power. We both share darkness and the power of the serpent" I say.

"Then, I'll leave the fighting to you. We should head towards the park. She has to get through there to get to the shrine, where the Gorgoneion is being held" Kusunagi says.

"Sounds like a plan then god slayer" I say and I follow Kusunagi.

We both made it to the park and it was already cleared out. We see Athena walking towards us.

"Kusunagi, go to the shrine. I'll try and hold her off" I say.

"But....." he says, which kinda ticked me off.

"Go!" I yell.

Kusunagi goes towards the shrine, which leaves just me and Athena. She stops a couple feet away from me. She looked like a kid in her early teens, which surprised me.

"Step aside Kaze" Athena says.

"Listen up, I know what your after and I can't let you past me" I say.

"I'm getting what's mine. You would do the same" Athena says, irritated.

"Not if your using it to destroy the world!" I say.

"I don't have time for this" Athena says and she lets out her hand.

A dark beam comes from her hand like a blast. I'll just block it with my hands. I went into a defensive position to block the blast. When it hit me, it felt like I couldn't block it.

"What the.." I say and the beam explodes, sending me flying.

When I landed, I hit my head hard on the floor and I lost consciousness. When I woke up, it was night time. I looked around and I realized where I was. I was at the shrine. And I saw Athena with the Gorgoneion. I made my way to Kusunagi, who was watching this. He couldn't see me yet because I was blown to a bush of some sort.

"Hey Kusunagi" I yell and he turns to face me.

"What happened" He says, angry.

"Well, she beat me at the park. Now I'm ready to defeat her" I say.

"If you couldn't beat her then, how will you beat her now" he says.

"I'll find a way. Just get your friends to safety because this battle will be destructive" I say, in a warning tone.

Athena then transforms once she had the Gorgoneion. She turned into her true, original form. She looked in her early twenties somehow and she had the original robes for the gods.

"If your going to stand in my way, I won't hold back" Athena says, channeling her dark power and summons the Serpent Scythe.

"That's fine by me. I just hope your ready. I'm going to send you away from here one way or another" I say, channeling my dark power and I summon Masamune.

I enchant my sword with dark power and I was ready to whoop Athena's ass.

"Here I come!" I say and I point my sword at Athena.
