Good day to you.

I think we've just reached halfway of the tour-story.

Finding students knowing nothing but their names isn't such a hard thing when you're in a city filled with people sharing a common route: the university. All we had to do is find a bunch of pupils and they'll lead to them eventually. Sam wanted to start by visiting the library, of course, and Dean was sure that pubs were the way to go. So we separated: Sam went to browse books while I was left to supervise Dean and prevent him drinking too much.

(🎶Block Party - Helicopter)

It was around 2 in the afternoon when the 1st accountable wave of thirsty students hit the pubs demanding beverages to quench their thirst. We sat with a group of 5, they were micro-biology majors. One thing you have to know about natural history and law students: they consume alcohol in large doses which was lucky for us since Dean and I hadn't had much time to socialise. Once they were tipsy on the piss and plonk but not legless we gave them the list and to see if they recognise any of the names. The first try seemed to be a total balls-up but then Dean mentioned Gloria and one of the lads remembered something. He pointed us to another bar where we searched for a bunch of theologists.

After about half an hour of asking around we found the party and got ourselves an answer. One look on the paper with the names was enough to fire up their memory. Turns out the people on the list were in touch with a minted family who wanted to do some dodgy business. The rest of the story remained unclear since the deal wasn't struck, according to our drinking pals.

Sam phoned me a tad later. He wanted me to pick him up at the library and I was leaning more and more towards the idea of leaving. Mainly 'cause Dean started to fall in love with the cheap craft beer and I was supposed to not let that happen. I ushered him out, we got in the car and made our way to Sam only to drive back to the inner city to get Nando's for takeaway, naturally.

"I don't know what it's like but I heard it tastes good."

We got our order and drove back to Slaidburn. There is a hostel for young people there, which we chose to stay for the nights while we were in England. This time I had my own room. What a step up, a real triumph, if you remember what happened the last time.

The place was fine, it wasn't a financial distort, we had wifi and the lady who kept the hostel running didn't bother us with curfew or other silly things. Win-win.

We needed more intel on this wealthy family the lads from Leeds told us about and hacking the cameras was the easiest way to identify the members seeing how nobody seemed to know a thing about them at all. We knew the exact date of Gloria waving adios to the university, so that was our first clue. Spent a few hours look at tapes trying to find something useful when Sam spotted a mysterious guy. Ran a search and found this: Charles Bowden was his name, an equally shady character as the fake nun from yesterday's discovery.

You know what? Let's play a game. What do you think? Was he and his so called "family" the one who killed both Gloria and Eleanor? Is it just a regular case with a serial killer murdering innocent girls? Or is it only about Eleanor and what happened to Gloria was a misstep? I wonder what's your take because at this point it sure looked like a simple murder investigation for Sam and Dean.

Basically, the theory was that Eleanor was on the run to escape "the family", she posed as a nun, found sanctuary in Slaidburn, she was later exposed and killed while Gloria got somehow mixed up in the middle of thing and Bowden or somebody else associated with him iced her. Sensing the danger would explain why she quit her studies so sudden and tried to hide the tangible reason from her family.

There was also one thing the boys kept bringing up. We hadn't found any trace of supernatural elements, no sign of demons, not even small traces of sulphur, no sudden increase in questionable conditions of deaths, nothing. The only indication that it's in fact our kind of deal was the electric black cloud sighted a few days beforehand which could have been a hoax really. And of course, the mysterious infection but this wasn't strange enough for the Winchesters.

You must think I'm paranoid, but I refused to believe that this issue was this simple. Somehow it didn't feel right. There was no twist but there is always at least one unexpected turn of events we just had to find it and that's what I premeditated doing.

One more place was left unchecked out of all we wished to take a closer look at and this was the orphanage.
