After a few hours of waiting Draco and I went back to the manor. I was fairly quiet except for the mumbling coming from the living room. Everyone was in there except Ron.

"Where's Ron?" I ask.

"In the cellar." Ginny says casually.

"Were there any conflicts?" Draco asks.

"No we took him out with a simple stunning spell. And then we have him a pretty strong sleeping potion so he should be out for hours. But we will have someone guarding him starting tomorrow at all times." Harry replies.

"What if he wakes up tonight?" I ask concerned.

"The sleeping potion was so strong Voldemort himself couldn't overcome it. Just the smell of it could put you to sleep." Ginny says bubbly.

"Okay." I say.

********************Two Days Later***********************

Ron has slept for the past two days. He should wake up any time. I am eager to find out what he knows. Just then I hear screaming and banging coming from the cellar. I rush down there. Draco was keeping watch.

"What's going on?" I inquire loudly.

"Oh Hermione! Thank goodness! Tell Malfoy to let me out! Why am I even in here? What did I do?" why are you even with Malfoy?" He says getting angry.

"Do you not remember trying to attack me Ron?" I ask with a bit of malice in my tone.

"What! Why would I attack you Mione? Your my best friend!" Ron answers looking truly confused. I look into his eyes and I don't see the menace I have seen when he attacked me. I see my best friend, the boy I have loved as my brother since I met him.

"Ron, what is the last thing you remember?" I ask.

He stops and thinks for a minute looking utterly confused. " ummm....... I was at my shift at the hospital. And I was visiting a patient and then nothing. What happened?" He says.

"Ron.... Do you know that Cormac is dead?" I hesitantly ask.

His eyes shoot open. "WHAT!" He exclaims. "He can't be I just saw him yesterday.

"No Ron. He has been dead a few weeks." I say tearing up.

"Hermione I think I would no if one of my friends had been dead for a few weeks. Stop joking and let me out." He says.

"No Ron! Your dangerous. I can't take the risk." I say. And walk away meanwhile he starts screaming at me to come back. But I am too distraught. I know that if I turn around I will let him out and then he will be a danger to everyone in the house.

What could have caused his memory loss? Could it be the sleep potion? Maybe he hit his head when he collapsed. No that couldn't be, we would see a bruise, scar or something. The only thing I can think of that could cause memory loss is the obliviate charm or the imperious curse. And it couldn't be either of those because no one here would obliviate his memory, we want to know what he knows. And it couldn't be the imperious curse because... Because... Well maybe. That may make sense.

"Draco could you come here for a minute please!" I yell down the stairs to the cellar where he is keeping watch.

"Do you think maybe he could have been under the imperious curse and so he never knew what he was doing to us so after we gave him the sleeping potion it wore off. And then it would explain the memory loss." I say.

He looks at me and thinks for a minute. "It makes sense." Is all he says. Until, "But then who put the curse on him?"
