Chapter 22

When we got back to the manor Draco took Harry, Ginny, Ron, and Teddy who is asleep in Harry's arms to show them to their rooms as where everything was. While Draco gave the tour I went to go make some supper for everyone. After a few minutes I hear someone come prancing down the stairs and into the kitchen walks Ron. "May I help you with anything?" He asks nervously."Of course. Why don't you help me set the table." I say. We walk to the dining room in silence until he speaks again "how long have you been staying here?" He asks setting plates on the table."Since I escaped from the ministry." I say nonchalantly. "Hermione why did you come here? And not to one of you friends?" He says sounding hurt. "I didn't come here at first. I apparated to the spot in the words where we were when the snatchers caught us in the war. I don't really know why I went there it just popped into my head." I answer. "Hermione how long have you and Draco been a thing?""Umm..... Your going to think I'm crazy but a few weeks. But if I'm totally honest Ron I think I was attracted to Draco long before we were ever friends our attraction was just hidden by the indifference between us." I answer getting a little uncomfortable telling Ron these things. "Look Hermione I don't want to change your mind about being with Draco. But I want you to know I never stopped loving you after we broke up. And I never wanted to push you away. But my judgement was clouded after Fred's death and you were trying to figure out the situation with your parents. And I am very sorry for leaving you on your own. I never wanted to hurt you." He says lovingly. I also want you to know I don't want to lose our friendship. Because it is so important and I can't bear to lose anyone else. So please whatever happens don't leave." "Ron I'm not going anywhere. You won't lose me and I never stopped loving you but our love was a different kind you and Harry are my brothers and that will never change." I say pulling him into a hug. Just as we pull away the rest of the company walk into the dining room. "Hey guys is supper ready?" Ginny asks."Just about. Draco would you like to help me?" I ask. With that we both walk into the kitchen to get the food. It is time to tell him. Honestly is the best policy right? "Is everything alright?" He asks."I hope so. I have something I want to tell you and well actually I don't want to tell you but you need to know if we are going to trust each other." I say. "Alright what is it?" He asks."Before Ron and I came back to Harry's and Ginny's he got the wrong idea why I came for him and he kissed me. And I was confused and I don't mean for it to happen and I explained everything to him and I promise it will never happen again." I say speaking so fast I get it all out in one breath. He doesn't say anything he just grabs the rest of the food and walks back into the dining room. Just as he is leaving Ginny walks in. "Hermione is there anything else I can help with?" She asks."Actually Ginny I suddenly feel I'll so if you don't mind I am going to go to bed." I say my eyes filling with tears. "Okay is there anything I can get you?" She asks concerned."No just let the others know. Goodnight." I say walking quickly out the door and up the stairs. I collapse on my bed tears streaming down my face. Eventually I have cried myself to sleep. When I awake I am not in my bed. Nor am I even at Malfoy Manor. I am on the ground in the middle if nowhere all I see is trees and grass. Nothing looks familiar. I have no idea where I am.
