Chapter 19

Harry had gone. It was just Draco and I alone. I walked the small distance between us and wrapped my arms around him and hugged him. I had never seen so much blood. It was as if after she died someone tried to paint the cabinetry with it. The dripping red handprints sent me over the edge. Whoever this person is he knew what he was doing. He had spent countless hours planning this. He had studied me for years to see what would make me crack. And it's working. Slowly I am losing it. I look up at Draco and see his silver eyes. Very slowly we melt together and we are one. We are kissing in sync. Several minutes later we break apart and agree we need something to eat. After we have eaten we move back into the living room where we fell asleep our first night together. We position ourselves into the same position facing each other on the couch and once again we are kissing. As we are kissing I realize I could be dead tomorrow. And I want to make sure that we don't waste any moment together. I slowly climb on top of him without breaking the kiss. When he finally realizes what is happening he immediately pulls away. "What's wrong?" I ask."You don't really want this your just scared." He answers."I'm not scared but I don't want to waste any time with you. This person is insane and I don't know how much time I have with you. I refuse to waste it." I say proudly. "Hermione nothing is going to happen to you. You wi be fine and after this is all over maybe we can go further but not now." He says. "I am not going to take away your purity just because you think your going to die." "Fine." I say trying to sound angry but it was really hard because he was be such a gentleman about the whole thing. "Hermione I really do love you. And I would be honored when this is all over if we could spend the rest of our lives together. Now I'm sorry I don't have a ring because it's been a little hectic lately but will you marry me?" He says getting down on one knee. "Yes." Is all I can choke our before I call apse in his arms. I am so happy. Draco reaches up and pulls one of the pins from Hermione's hair and fashions it into a ring and places it on her finger. We spend the rest of the night in each other's arms. Completely content. If Draco wanted to wait we would. Eventually we fell asleep into nothingness.

Hours later

It was still dark when I woke up. Draco still lying next to me. My eyes widen when I see the hooded figure sitting in the chair across from us. I assume he is watching us but I cannot see his eyes. "Miss Hermione Granger...... I guess congratulations are in order. Tell me when is the wedding?" He says sneering at me.I don't answer his question."My dear it is very impolite if you don't answer someone's question." He says."It is also rude to show up to someone's home uninvited." I shoot back. "I lived in this home for quite a long time deary so I may show up when I please." He says."So your a Malfoy?" I ask."Perhaps........ Perhaps not." He says "I am very sorry to have to cut our visit short today but I am in a rush. Do give my best to the fiancé. And tell Harry and the family that I will be seeing him shortly." And before I have time to do anything else he is gone.Draco wakes up immediately after he leaves and sees how frazzled I am. "Hey what's going in? Way happened?" "He was here! He is after Harry, Ginny, and Teddy! We have to go." I say panicked.I grab Draco and apparate to Grimmauld Place without a second thought.
