Everyone has a name on their wrist.
But it doesn't come clear enough to read until you turn 15.
The name belongs to your soulmate, the person you are meant to marry, the person you belong with.
I'm turning 15 tomorrow, so I'll find out the name on my wrist.
All of my family, and best friend Tanner, will be there to see it.
At exactly 4:30 pm, the name will appear on my wrist. Tanner already has his, but he won't show me until I get mine.
If you don't find your soulmate by the age of 20, something bad happens. No one knows, because no one has survived and lived to tell the tale. Hopefully that doesn't happen to me.
~the next day~
Well it's my 15th birthday today, it's currently 4:28 pm and we are all sitting in a circle. Waiting for 4:30 to come, waiting for the name to appear. I've been told it hurts a lot when the name appears on your wrist, I'll guess I'll find out.
4:29 pm.
We have 1 minute until the name arrives.
4:30 pm.
Everyone stared at my wrist, nothing happened for a few seconds. Then an incredibly sharp pain shot through my arm, I screamed in agony as everyone sat there and watched.
This carried on for 1 more minute, which felt like an hour. When it had stopped, I had beads of sweat forming on my forehead because it hurt so much.
"What does it say?.." a worried Tanner spoke up, I hadn't looked down. I was holding my wrist, because I didn't want to see it yet.
"I-uhh I don't know..." I slowly slipped my hand off of my wrist, revealing the name to my family and best friend.
Tanner.
Was written on my wrist in a beautiful cursive font, I looked up at everyone who was now staring at Tanner. He just stared at my wrist, not moving his eyes off of me.
"Tanner... it says Tanner..." I whispered as my eyes met with his. He hasn't shown anyone who was on his wrist, but he has to show me now. He has to.
"Tanner... we need to see your wrist now!" My Mum almost said aggressively.
"But I haven't see it yet! I was keeping it for today, so we could find out together!" He said. "I'm scared! What if it doesn't say Y/N!"
"Just take the damn bandage off Tanner..." I said through gritted teeth.
Y/N
Was written on his wrist in a bubbly font, it was him.
My best friend was now my soulmate.
We just stared at eachother, not knowing if this was a dream or reality.
"I-I can't believe this.." I stuttered.
All of my family was just as shocked as us.
It was him.
