Chapter Six

I woke the next morning, my back aching. I swore my bed was softer than this. Maybe I have been imagining it then. I groaned from the pain in my lower back. Yeah, time to invest in a new bed. I slowly opened my eyes, quickly snapping them shut, from the bright sun. Wait! The sun? I opened my eyes again after shielding them with my hand. I slowly sat up, moaning in pain due to my back. I looked around to see we were still at the lake. Damn.

I saw everyone else scattered all over the place. Guess we got to smashed to leave. I looked down next to me, to see Kyle laying there sleeping peacefully. I sat there for a minute before standing up and stretching. I walked down closer to the lake.

"Oh well at least I'm not the only one awake now." I heard Cay's voice next to me. I looked at her.

"Yeah, for a minute there I thought I needed to invest in a new bed." I chuckled. She laughed.

"I bet. I was comfy." she grinned at me.

"Yeah, I can imagine. You had Byron to sleep on." I stated, looking at her.

"Yep. But then again you wouldv'e squished Kyle, had you slept on top of him." she laughed at me.

"Very true." I replied, walking over to the rock she was sitting on. I sat down next to her and she laid her head on my shoulder. I laid my head on hers.

"You know, I miss my babies." she sighed.

"I can imagine. I bet you were at Byron when you first found out." I teased.

"Oh, you bet I was. But I am happy with our babies. I love him to much to stay mad at him." she told me.

"Yeah, I know. I see it. You two are perfect for each other." I smiled. They were. She keeps him check. "Also I know for a fact that you wear the pants in the relationship."

"That is about accurate." she mumbled. I chuckled. I knew it.

"What are you doing with my mate?" I heard Byron's voice from above us. We both looked back to see a grin on his face.

"I'm taking her away!" I smiled big. I wrapped my arm around her shoulders. "Besides, she confessed her undying love to me!" 

"Yep!" she grinned. Byron started laughing, with joining him.

"I see. Well, then have fun." he hollered. We laughed more. I stood up, offering her my hand. She took it and I lifted her up. I wrapped my arm around her shoulder and she wrapped hers around my waist. We made our way up the little hill. I looked at Byron smiling. "Alright, so since you got Cay, does that mean I can have Kyle?" he joked.

"Yep, we are swapping!" I chuckled.

"Sweet!" he fist pumped the air. I laughed at his idiocy. I took my arm from Cay's shoulder and she walked over to Byron hugging him. He wrapped her in his arms and kissed her head. They are truly good for each other.

"Hey." I heard Jay say. I looked to see him walking over to us.

"Hey man." I fist bumped him, then he did with Byron. "Let's get everyone up. I know we all need showers." We nodded and made our way around waking everyone. We picked up our mess, throwing everything away. Folded up the blankets and towels, then headed to the cars.

An hour and a half later, after we ate breakfast, we got home. Oh man I can't wait to shower. I feel filthy and sore. I got out of my car, along with Nico, Claudia and Kyle. I walked to the front door, opening it, and going inside.

"You kids have fun?" i looked to see Ellie standing there with Blaine in her arms feeding him, smiling at me.

"Yeah, wasn't bad." I smiled.
