Cascade P.O.V

I looked at Nate as we walked down the street, after me eating dinner and watching him slowly get drunk he wanted to walked around. I looked at him eating ice cream in the snow and he looked at me.

"You want some of my ice cream?" He asked and I said no.

He was just walking not paying much attention to anything around us and when he bumped into a girl he stopped. He didn't pay her or her three friends any attention, he just made sure his ice cream was okay.

"Oh, I'm sorry." The girl said batting her eyes at him.

"Yeah, alright." He said as she tried to talk to him again.

Nate walked around her and I followed looking back at the girls who gave me a dirty look. I reached down grabbing Nate's hand and gave the girls a wink, making them walk away.

"Nate where are we going?" I asked him and he looked down.

"You said you wanted to walk around." He said as we started crossing a bridge.

"Yeah, but we're going to the frozen lake." I said as we got closer to it.

"Just come on, try and have fun for fuck sake. I mean you can flaunt me in front of those girl but I cant do anything." He said pulling out his water bottle.

"Is that still alcohol?" I asked looking at the brown bottle. 

"Yes, want some?" He asked me giving me the bottle.

I looked at it then at him and I guess I'll take a drink. I moved my hand over the bottle making a large sized ball of water come out. I put it in my mouth and the burn was over whelming for a moment. He looked at me then we started walking again, I have to say I felt okay doing that in front of him. I haven't done that in front of anyone since I was 8 and it was a good thing either. I though about the story I told him earlier and for right now that's all he needs to know about what happened.

"Cas!" He yelled at me making me look up.

"What? why re you yelling?" I said looking at him.

"I've said your name 6 times, look." He said pointing to the frozen over lake.

I looked at the amazing block of ice and all I could do was smile. I looked at it closer as Nate stood next to me looking at it.

"So beautiful." I whispered.

"Yeah, can you control it?" He asked me and I smiled.

"No, I haven't done any training with it and I've never met someone like me before." I said not looking at him. 

"Well the Luna's of the other packs are kind like you so, we should meet with them soon." He drinking his what ever it was.

"Tell me something about you?" I asked him as I started to walk again.

"What do you want to know?" He asked looking at me.

"Anything." I said reaching down and grabbing his hand again.

"Well you know my family and that I have two sisters, one of them being my beta. My parents and I are being closer after years of us fighting. When I was young, I was a complete ass whole and my mom got it the worst. I was embarrassed of the fact she was a damn hooker that I never wanted her to come around me in public. See I went to school with you brother and strange he never told me he had a sister. Anyways, I treated her like shit for years and she is nothing but a nice woman. I grow up since then and every day I try to make it up to her." He said looking at me.

I opened my mouth and before I could talk he started talking again.

"Cascade we have met before and I knew back then that I was in love with you. I know you don't remember, you had to be 2 and I was 4 at the time. I don't know why my family was there but I remember seeing you that baby." He said making me look at him.

"Our family was that close?" I asked grabbing his arm.

"Not really, but being an Alpha you have to open relationships with other packs around. I have met many of the Alphas here but two and they seem nice. The old place where your family is doesn't have many packs there since I I'm gone now. It has to be about 3 packs there now, and your brother and his pack is not a worry right now." He said looking at me.

"Why our pack was big?" I said.

"Yeah, but he's a bitch lets go have fun." He said cutting the conversation short.

We walked around the park just talking till we made it to a ice rink and I got excited. I ran over to it but the look on Nate's face told me he didn't want to, so I had to.

"Lets do this." I said and he nodded to my surprise.

He walked over with me and it could tell he didn't want to do this but he didn't say anything. I wanted to see just how far he would let me go with out stopping me.

"After this we can go shopping." I said and he looked at his phone.

It was already 11:30 so once we get done its going to be after 12.

"Do you not want to go shopping?" I asked him and he looked at me.

"We can do whatever you want." He said.

"Why are you being a push over?" I asked and he smiled as we wait in line.

"Cascade you're a funny girl, you see things in such a give and take kind of way. I'll let you run over me a little bit, no one else in this world would ever get away with that but you. You haven't let the though of me being your mate or someone loving you sink in yet. If you want to do this, go shopping, stay up all night walking around I'll do that for you. I love you and I want to make you happy, if that makes me a push over so be it." He said giving me a smile.

"You love me?" I asked him.

"No, I'm in love you." He said making my heart do leaps in my chest.

I didn't know what to say back so I put my head down as we waited. I have to talk to him again and tell him the whole truth to what happened with my father. I never had someone love me but its an amazing feeling, and I don't want to lose now. I turned and looked at him and he glanced at me as I reached up touching my neck. I moved close to him picking up his arm and wrapping it around my neck. I don't know if I'm losing that independent woman I worked so hard to be or if I'm finding a better part of myself, but I like this.
