Riley got up to the sound of dogs barking. She had gotten use to the fact that her life is controlled by dogs. She has three dogs. Her MWD Falcon,a four year old brindle Belgian Malinois. He is full of piss and vinegar. Her second dog is Delta, an eight year Donovan Pinscher. She is an old soul. Then, she has Dagger a two year old Rottweiler. He is a beast of a dog. When she got up she let her hell hounds outside. She walked into her kitchen and made a protein shake. While blending her shake she got lost in thought. Her mind wandered to her last tour of duty. She has done four tours. The last two with Falcon. She was anxious to get back, but she is on medical leave due to what happened last tour. Snapping out of her trance, she put her shake in a cup. She then heard her dogs go insane. She jogged to the back door to see a young child on the other side of the fence. "Dogs, come!",Riley hollered. Falcon and Delta came running, but Dagger lacked behind. "DAGGER!" The stubborn dog slowly came to her. The young girl still stood by herself. Once her dogs were safely put away,Riley walked over to the girl. "Hey,sweetie. Are you lost?"
"Imma said I shouldn't talk to strangers." The little doe eyed girl replied. Riley was a little set back by the girl saying imma. She then started seeing some Israeli traits in the young girl. "Your imma is smart. I am Sargent Riley Jennings,United States Marine Corps. What is your name?" After careful consideration the young girl answered.
"Shalom Riley. I am Aleah." The small girl began to relax as Riley was no longer a threat to her. Just as Riley was about to ask the girl how old she was, a woman's voice boomed, calling for Aleah.
"Aleah Caitlin David!" The young girl's eyes bulged at her full name.A very angry woman stormed over. "What did I tell you about leaving the yard?"Aleah stood still looking at her shoes. The young woman turned he attention to Riley. "Sorry about that,I am Kayla. I just moved in,my sister was supposed to be watching my daughter. What is your name?"
"Riley Jennings, nice to meet you."With that her new neighbors walked away. Riley went back inside and drank her shake wondering about her new neighbors and when she could go back to work.
