Epilogue

Flash forward and year and some months later, I was standing at the door of a loaded car. I had my arms crossed and my face was puffy. You see, my boyfriend, my absolute love of my life, my reason for existece, was leaving for college.

   He had gotten a huge oppurtunity to go to a huge college with a football scholarship. One of the colleges that actually matter and air their damn games, yeah, that huge. He finally stood from his spot of shoving boxes in his car to look down at me.

     He cups my cheeks with his hands and smiles down at me. "My beautiful and strong love, how I'll miss you", he whispers. "Promise to love me until the end of time?".

    I tilt my head, then shake it. His smile falls just a little. "Just until I die, that's all you get", I smile.

    "Oh, my love. You and I? We're never going to die. We'll go until the end of the earth, there will we link our hands and watch the sun collide into the earth", he replies, then leans down to kiss me.

    We had been dating since the hospital. He was never afraid to take my hand, or kiss me, or show me off. We went to his junior and senior prom together. There, he held me and kissed me the entire night. He had made my high school expeirience one to remember. Now he was leaving me.

   I was going to be a junior now, and him a freshman in college. He had promised to come home as frequently as he could, and he'd call every night. He had told me since the day he got the scholarship, "We're going to be finer than fine, my love". I believed him.

    And I believed him as I watched him get in his car. And my belief stayed as I watched him drive away. He was my belief, and he will always be my belief.
