Within just two steps Markus grabbed her by her arm and pulled her back onto the dance floor. "No way lady! You're not leaving me, while insulting me this way!" he hissed between his teeth irritated. Ashley could see his jaws move of the excitement running through his veins. She was shocked about his emotional reaction, but it also turned her on. She felt his strong arm around her waist, pulling her tightly against him. Panting, as if they had just ran a hundred miles, Markus led her over the dance-room floor. She noticed the surprised look on the faces around them, but she didn't care what they thought of them. She felt lost in his arms. It was the only place she wanted to be, even if they were both married to someone else. The physical attraction between the two of them, had put her body on fire and there was only one way to temper her desire.
Ashley shortly closed her eyes, feeling his warm face against hers and her lips touching his neck. She loved the smell of his body odor which was a mixture of his perfume and the sweat caused by his excitement. His breathing was going fast and his large hand stroking her back, promised her so much more than dancing. Her throat felt dry, thinking of how badly she wanted to make love to him right now. Slowly she let her fingertips caress the back of his neck, while her warm breath lit the fire up inside of him. "What are you doing to me?" Markus whispered panting and his lips slowly caressed the skin underneath her ear. Shivers went down her spine, feeling his desperation and excitement within this single, sensual gesture. Slowly his words reached her brain and captured her heart. So she turned him on, huh? Would he realize how much he turned her on? Caitlin swallowed, trying to get the dry feeling out of her throat, but the excitement flowing through her body made it only worse.
"I don't know" was the only thing she could answer him and gently pressed her hips against his manliness. With her hand on his arm she could feel his muscles tighten. He knew perfectly well what the answer to his own question was, but he just didn't now the solution of solving the confusion he felt inside of him right now. "Whatever the answer will be," Markus whispered "don't you ever think, I look at you as one of those mistresses a lot of men have." "I want everything or nothing at all." Ashley frowned, not knowing what he meant by that. He was married himself, so if they would get an affair together, it would always made her his mistresses. Ashley took a deep breath and without thinking about the consequences she whispered passionately "I want everything, I want you!"
As if lightning struck him, Markus immediately stopped dancing and pushed her a bit away from him. The look in his eyes wasn't passionate and desirable anymore, but filled with pain and even slightly angry. Why? What did she say wrong? As if someone had snapped his fingers and broken the spell between them, he lay his hand on her back to push her forward, while he said emotionless "Maybe you're right, it's time to go back to our table." Ashley was totally confused by this complete change within his behavior and pain and frustration filled her heart. Why this look and why did his passion disappear within a blink of an eye. She just didn't understand.
Markus pulled her chair away from the table, like a gentleman would do and motioned her to sit down. He himself walked to the other side of the table to join Eliza and Lord MacFilan, though not before he kissed Esmae on her cheek and said loud enough for Ashley to hear "Sorry I stayed away to long sweetheart, but I'm here now." Ashley's eyes followed him as he walked around the table and sat down, to not look at her after that even once. She was getting sick to her stomach as her emotions flowed through her body like crazy, wondering why he changed his behavior 360 degrees. At first he told her, he wanted her badly and now he pushed her away from him, as if she was some kind of puppet he could play with. Maybe he had only wanted to try her out, to see how much she really wanted him. Well, he succeeded in getting his answer to that. Again Ashley felt sick to her stomach, though this time she also felt tears coming up as well. As quick as she was able with her long dress, she stood up from her chair. She had to get out of here, now! She didn't wanted him to see her cry.
