After a few hours they reached the Inn. It was a lovely little place on the country side, build in a traditional English stone, combined with dark wooden beams and smoke coming out of its chimney. "Can't we stay here forever?" Ashley asked him softly, while she squeezed Markus his hand. "It looks lovely". "I'm sorry my sunshine" Markus smiled blushing as he realized, she just said she wanted to stay here with him for ever "but I have to be in London tomorrow for a meeting." He kissed her gently on her forehead and lead her inside the Inn, while his thoughts wandered off, wondering how it would be to have Ashley as his wife.

Inside, the fire was burning and a handful of men and woman were sitting around the fireplace, talking a bit about everything and nothing and drinking a beer or a nice glass of wine. "Do you want to change first?" She heard Markus ask. She turned around slowly and stared into his gorgeous eyes. It amazed her every single time when she looked at him, the effect his gaze had on her heart and mind. "Or maybe eat first" Markus continued not realizing what she was thinking about. "No I think it's better to change first." Ashley answered blushing, remembering what they had done in the carriage earlier that day. Markus grinned. He loved her red cheeks right now and wished he could kiss them this very moment. "That was my opinion too" he answered and Ashley felt his large, soft hand grabbing hers to slowly pull her towards the stairs.

The coachman brought one suitcase in, the one Ashley had pointed out before they got in, and he brought it upstairs without asking any further questions. Ashley entered the cozy room and as soon as she saw the bed, she realized she wouldn't take that long to be sleeping after diner. She was exhausted and the bed looked so tempting.
The door closed behind her and just a few seconds later she felt Markus his arms around her waist to pull her close. "You're gorgeous, you know that?" He whispered in her ear and sensual his lips kissed her neck. Ashley moaned softly, enjoying his embrace to the fullest. "Don't worry my sunshine, I will leave you alone for now, but it feels so good just holding you." Again he kissed her neck, before he played a bit with her earlobe. "Oh please Markus" Ashley panted, her heart pounding wildly by now. Slowly he released her from his embrace to turn her around gently. He gazed into her eyes as his hands tenderly hold her face. "You are so beautiful" he whispered and stared at her lips, before he kissed them. Never in her life, not here and not in Caitlin's life together with Aiden, she had ever felt the way she did when she was with Markus. Even with words he let her experience emotions she couldn't even describe. They kissed and touched each other for a little while, until they decided it's better to change clothes and have diner before they wouldn't arrive there at all.

The landlord of the Inn had made them a great meal and as it turned out, Markus and the landlord knew each other quite well. They seemed to have a lot to talk about and when Ashley almost fell asleep at the fireplace, she excused herself to the both men and went up to go to bed. Markus came to bed much later, after he drank a few pints with the landlord first.

He stared at the beautiful sleeping woman in his bed, wondering if he would ever be able to let go of her. Ashley had captured his heart, something he didn't expected to happen ever again after Elisabeth left him. He undressed himself and slipped between the sheets. His body responded immediately the moment he touched her soft warm body. With his arm around her and his face against her back, he gently kissed her shoulder. "Goodnight my sunshine" he whispered softly, kissed her once again before he closed his eyes to fall asleep satisfied. He felt more happy than he had been in a very long time and it was all because of her. As soon as they would come to London he would settle his divorce and ask his lawyer what to do with Ashley's marriage. First sleep, than the rest of it. Everything would turn out just fine as soon as they would arrive in London ....
