The doubles round started the next day, and the group of three sat in the front row to see if Yang and Weiss would win. The two did well and barely won as Weiss had sacrificed herself in the middle of the match.
"Well, Yang should be the one to move on." Gracie turned to Ruby.
"Why do you say that?" Ruby looked confused.
"Weiss focuses too much on having perfect form and Yang sorta be just explodes and beats anyone nearby up. Also every punch she takes makes her stronger." Gracie reasoned.
"Alright, Yang it is." Ruby smiled and looked around the stadium.
"Who are you looking for?" Gracie questioned.
"My uncle Qrow. Weiss and I ran into him when we were meeting her sister." Ruby sighed and gave up on her search.
"Gotcha. Well, finals aren't until tomorrow, so if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go catch some z's and maybe train a bit." Gracie stood and left as Coco began her fight with her teammate against Emerald and the boy in grey next to Emerald.
Gracie made her way up the tower to her father's office where several people were gathered.
"Oh um... Is this a bad time?" Gracie walked into the office.
"Gracie, stay put. You deserve to know this as well." Ironwood spoke to her as if she were a toddler.
"Try me, compensator." Gracie growled and moved to beside her father.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Ironwood looked over at her.
"I mean, you brought a big army to a well protected area. Maybe you're making up for a lack of a di-"
"Gracie, tone." Ozpin silenced her.
"Oz, who is this? I like her." a man in a torn, red cape spoke from beside a column.
"Qrow, this is my daughter, Gracie. Gracie, this is my valued associate, Qrow. Now if you'll please come with us down to the vault?" Ozpin stood and got into the elevator with the others.
Gracie groaned and squeezed in beside Pyrrha. "Hey, Pyrrha. Good job in the doubles."
"Thank you." Pyrrha looked as the door opened and stood in shock as everyone else left the elevator.
"Dad, why are we down here? It's freezing." Gracie shivered.
"Please be quiet." Ozpin mumbled as they approached a machine that contained a girl.
"Woah..." Gracie peeked in.
The others explained to Pyrrha what has been going on. Gracie barely listened to them as she was looking at the scarring on the other girl's face that was similar to her own. Gracie stepped back momentarily before turning to her father who was suddenly the only one in the room.
"Are you alright?" he questioned.
"I-I... She had the same thing happen to her as what happened to me..." Gracie looked back to the container.
"I know. But let us discuss this at another time. You need your rest, I have a feeling that tomorrow will be a busy day with the end of the Vytal Tournament approaching." Ozpin put his hand on Gracie's shoulder and walked out of the vault with her.
Gracie quickly went to her dorm and saw the others already there asleep. Gracie laid down and fell asleep herself so she could be ready for the big day tomorrow.
Gracie woke up to yelling going on in the room across the hall along with a loud crash, dismissing it as probably Nora working out, Gracie got ready and went to breakfast before securing seats for the rest of her team. The other four joined her within minutes as all the finalist were in the center, ready to compete.
