*Zayn's POV*
"What did you say to him?" Niall snapped making Harry place an arm around his waist to calm him down. I shrugged and avoided Niall's glaze.
Right now, I didn't know whether I had made the right choice by coming back. Liam didn't want me here, that bit was obvious. The first chance he got, he ran away from me, not even looking back.
But I couldn't blame him.
Whenever I dared to go near him, I caused him pain. It's no surprise that he wanted to be away from. He was better off without me.
"Zayn, please stay away from him. You don't know how he has been these past two years" Harry said, he certainly sounded calmer than Niall. Harry always had a way around these type of situations. I never got how he stayed so calm.
"He's not going to do that"
I snapped my head to find Louis leaning against the door, eyes fixed on Harry. He walked in quickly, shifting his eyes from Harry to me.
"Louis, you don-"
"We can't stop Zayn from talking to Liam. They need to sort this out and the quicker they do it, the better for them" Louis interrupted.
"You're out of your mind" Niall spat as he stormed out of the room. I didn't miss the quick glare he shot me, making my gut twist more in guilt. Harry shot me a small look before he followed Niall out of the room.
"Where's Perrie?"
"Why is she here?" Louis asked; eyes narrowed and hands clenched.
"She is my fiance, that's why!"
"Snap out of it Zayn! Do you really love her?" Louis asked, pushing at my shoulder to turn me around. I avoided his eyes, knowing that I, myself don't know the answer to his question. I believed I loved her but I know that what Perrie and I have could never compared to what Liam and I used to have between us.
Used to.
Now, I lost him. From a stupid mistake, if only I had listened to Liam that day, let him explain then I would still have him.
"You're a fucking coward Zayn and your actions are no longer just hurting you, they are hurting Liam as well. So you better decide to do something before I do" Louis hissed, he turned around to leave the room just as Perrie appeared, a big smile on her smile that instantly faded when she saw Louis' face.
Louis brushed past her, letting Perrie step in. She gave me a frown, walking towards me.
"Is he okay?" She asked.
"Yeah, just his and Harry's usual bickering" I lied. Perrie nodded and her arms made their way around my neck, pulling me closer. I tried to smile but it probably came out as a grimace. Perrie didn't notice, her eyes fluttering closer and her lips centimetres away from mine.
A small cough made me jerk away from her and my eyes flew to the door to find Liam standing there, lips quivering slightly. He looked away the instant our eyes met and I sighed, running a hand through my hair.
"D-Dinner's ready" And before either of us could say something he was gone, literally ran out of the room.
Can I just not hurt him for once?
"Lou, stop cheating" Liam snapped, hands grabbing Louis' and pulling them behind his back. It made me smile, seeing Liam happy for once. This was the first time since my return that I had seen him laugh.
Harry and Louis were in an intense game of mario kart and Louis thought it would be funny to grab Harry's controller and mess things up.
"I am not cheating. Harry's controller just wasn't working so I thought I'd help" Louis grinned at Liam, who narrowed his eyes at him.
"I will go get something to eat" Liam announced. He walked past me in order to do that and like usual he avoided my eyes, fixing his stare on the floor. I decided to join Liam in the kitchen to help him but honestly I just wanted to talk to him.
He turned around immediately at the sound of my footsteps, biting his lip softly.
"Thought I'd help you" I mumbled as I walked towards him, tapping on the counter softly. Liam shrugged and carried on with getting the glasses down.
"I am fine" He replied, he went to walk past me again but I grabbed his arm, stopping him. Turning him around (I have no idea what made me do it), I placed a hand on his hip, lacing my other hand with his own.
"Li-"
"What are you doing?" He breathed out, still looking away from me.
"I want you to look at me, just for a second" I whispered, squeezing his hand. I was dying to see his eyes, just look into them without any stopping.
Liam pushed my hand off his hip and pulled away from my hand, stepping away. Before I could say anything, he was walking out of the kitchen just like before not even daring to turn around and look at me.
I ran a hand through my hair, letting out a frustrared and annoyed sigh. Getting Liam to talk to me isn't going to be an easy job but I was going to get him, no matter what it took.

Okay so hope that was okay. I know it was just a filler chapter and wasn't too long but I tried....
