Bearer's POV
When I heard the thudding I jumped really badly. I nearly dropped the space pearl. After recollecting my lost nerves I headed over towards the janitors closet. The blood in the window was smeared all over the place and there were several handprints on the glass. I tried to look through all the blood. It was too red to notice anything. It was only until now that I noticed the thudding had stopped. I was freaking out so I backed away and headed back to the lounge. Right when I was about to open the door the thudding started back up again. I looked over my shoulder at the room. I took a few steps towards it and the thudding stopped. I decided this was too freaky for me and I went back to the teacher's lounge.
As I shut the door I heard the thudding noise increase in volume. I panicked. It was probably going to wake everybody up. I looked out over the sea of darkness and tried to determine if any movement was being made. I didn't want to disturb them so I quickly grabbed my sweater and rushed to the door. I sat down and leaned on it. The thudding noise relaxed and sounded more dull. Exhaustion got the better of me and I fell into a deep slumber.
When I woke up, I noticed everyone else was awake. They were huddled around something I couldn't see. My mind wondered to the worst and I unconsciously shoved my hands into my pockets, searching for anything to grab. Soon, my fingers grazed the pearl. A silent sigh passes through my lips. Apparently, someone heard it though. They all turned to me. It was kinda creepy. "Uhhhhhh, good... morning?" It sounded more like a question to me, even though I said it. They don't say anything, they just stare. I was beginning to feel uncomfortable so I got up and leaned against the doorframe. I listen to an intense silence and realize the thudding had stopped. They continue to stare. Eventually a cold sweat broke out all over my body as I began to become increasingly nervous. Then, from the corner of my eye I see the color red. I look at them, huddling around 'something'. They looked like wild animals. I slowly peeled away from the doorframe and washed closer towards them. They flinched and backed up a little when I leaned forward. I got freaked out and jumped back, clinging onto the doorframe. Why are my friends (and frie) so creepy right now?! I release my hold on the doorframe and lean towards them.
They inch away from their huddled area. They don't make a single sound. The color red is everywhere now. I move agonizingly slow. It feels like I'm passing through thick mud. They move away. I see something. A figure. A hand. Red. I get closer. They slowly reveal more. Closer. There's now an arm. Closer. Closer. Closer. Closer. Red. Its everywhere. A torso. More red. I can guess what it is, but... there's just something familiar about it. There are slashes and cuts running all along the body. Red oozes out. It stains the room. I cringe a little. More of the body is revealed. I gasp as I remember where I saw it. It's the body I stole the space pearl from. As if it can read my mind, it glows brightly. I panic as the others hiss at me. On instinct, I jump back towards the door as they attempt to pounce. What is going on?! I turn and fiddle with the doorknob. It won't open. What?! I quickly turn back around and see teeth. Sharp teeth. I scream right before I can feel them sink into my face. This has to be a dream, right? It has to be! But why am I not waking up?! Wake up! Wake up wake up please just wake me up!!!!
I jerk up from my spot on the floor near he door in an icy cold sweat. I'm surrounded by blurry figures. "Are you okay?" A voice says. "You kept screaming bloody murder." Another deeper voice says. Probably a guy. "Jesus, you really scared us!" I can't tell who's talking. Everything is too blurry. My eyelids grow heavy as my head and body fall to the right. I hear everyone in the room gasp before everything turns dark. Weird. They all sounded very familiar, but I can't put my finger on it.
I wake up to bright and empty room, except for one person other than me. They looked blurry, but not as bad as last time. My body feels unnecessarily heavy and I struggle to lift myself. I guess they noticed my silent struggle as they got up and raced to aid me. "Hey, are you okay? Take it easy!" A female voice spoke to me. "You really had all of us worried gabberdink." I look up to her and give her a questioning expression. "Who's gabberdink, and who are you?" I can't really remember anything. My head hurts a little.
The look of hurt was clearly written all over her face. "What are you talking about? We've been friends for a while now!" She speaks in a desperate tone. I shake my head a little and speak. "I'm sorry, but I don't remember anything." She lowers her head and sniffles. "First Brandon, and now this? Why?" I start to feel nervous because of the slightly crying girl. "Hey, I'm real sorry, but I think I should go?" I say in a small, unsure voice. Her head shoots up and she practically screams in my face. "You can't leave! Not without all of us!" I lean back with my eyes widened. "All of us?" I question. "Yeah, all of our friends!" I look to my right to avert my eyes from her gaze. What is going on? Why can't I remember?
As if by fate, a small group of people rush into the room. "What's going on?" "We heard screaming!" "Are you okay?" Suddenly a few voices speak in unison. Startled, I jump back a ways. In an instant all eyes are on me. I'm immediately over come with a sense of nervousness. I don't like all the attention. It's very nerve wracking. I really don't like this. I slowly back up into a corner and sit there with my head close to my knees. No one speaks for the longest of times.
-Le time skip-
It's been awhile and I still can't remember anything. The strange people have been whispering for hours. It might be about me. I don't like it here. It's smelly and cold. There always a thick scent of iron and the faintest of rot. I hate this place, it feels like prison. Eventually, they stop talking and start packing things. I just watch from my corner. Then someone walks up to me. They move slowly as to not freak me out. "Hey, we're leaving soon." I slowly blink. "There's nothing left for us here. We need to go." I hug myself tighter, anticipating her saying that they'll leave me behind. "Once we leave we're not coming back." I tremble slightly as my eyes water up. I don't want to be left behind. "Will you join us." I'm silent for a moment. D-did she just say what I think she just said? A single tear managed to slip past my very weak defenses. I sniffle, wipe my eyes and nose, and I nod ever so slightly. She smiles at me and hugs me gently. "I'm glad to here that." I relax into her embrace and breath out a sigh of relief. I shut my eyes and hold on tightly. After a few minutes we let go and she hands me a large pack. Everyone does their final preparations before we all walk out of the room, down the halls, and out the large double doors.
