NATALIE

____________

"I'm literally right outside the shop Amy." I laugh as I explain to her as I enter the shop.

She stands and hugs me before I take a seat across from her. The glossy wooden table sits beneath my hands and the padded chair is as comfortable as a chair in a coffee shop can get.

"So, how was your Christmas? Tell me all about it!" she squeals as a waiter walks over to our small table and takes our order.

"Thank you" we both say in unison as we dissmiss the waiter. This cafe is like something I've never seen before. It's a old worn down jazz cafe with old sounding music swiftly floating around the shop. The song that plays now is not the best jazz song I've ever heard before.

"It was the best I've had for a while how was yours?" I ask once the waiter places our cups and biscuits on the table.

"It was ok." she shrugs and I watch as she shifts uncomfortably and awkwardly.

"Amy..." I drag out her name and sip at my coffee as my eyes stare at her hoping she'll tell me more detail about the day.

"Danny was just..he was a bit off." I instantly stiffen and become more curious.

"What do you mean?" I take another sip as does Amy.

"He seemed on edge, I think it was because his brother was there that he hadn't seen in a long time." He never told me about a brother? How odd that his brother would be at Amy's family home spending Christmas with them.

"Do they look alike?" I ask trying to act normal about this odd conversation.

"Not really, they are the complete opposite." She laughs and I awkwardly join my friend.

"So tell me all about Harry's family." her eyes widen and she brings her face closer to mine as she leans her elbows on the table to stop her from falling from excitememnt.

"Well they're amazingly normal compare to him." we both chuckle. "I'm only joking, but they are all so nice and genuine. Is it odd to say I felt wanted there?" I hung my head down to hide my blushing cheeks.

"Not at all. You fit in and you felt it for the first time in a long time." Amy wisely says and I look up to meet her gaze as I'm slightly taken back by her accuracy.

"How did you-"

"You always hid in the corner Natalie. Don't think we didn't notice." She smiles a friendly smile and I mentally thank god that she became my friend.

"Who's we?" I shyly ask tucking a stray strand of hair behind my ear. Do you really want to know the answer to this? Yes, step out of the shadows.
