HARRY

____________

"Mum I think I'm going in today." I tell my mum on entering the kitchen to stand opposite her.

"Are you sure? You said last night that your nose was still running."

Sometimes, her obsession with keeping me locked up in the house when I'm ill because she thinks I'm still four years old overwhelms me.

"Yes I'm sure! I've been stuck in bed for three days, I can't do another one." I grab an apple from the bowl and put it straight into my mouth.

"Harry you've been running around the house in your underwear for three days, I don't feel sorry for you."

"Thanks mum. But seriously, I'm going in."

"Ok. Gemma's gone already so you'll have to walk." I nod and watch her as she drinks her coffee and she watches me as I bite into my apple.

"When are you going to work?" I ask her as she cleans out her mug.

"Now so I'll see you later love." I kiss her as she moves past me and follow her out with my apple in one hand and my bag on my shoulder.

I walk up the road and see just about everyone else walking in the same direction as me, their destination....the same as mine. I look around for Natalie but stop after a few minutes and wonder why I'm so eager to find her? I push her out of my head and try and focus my thoughts on something else.

"Harry!" I turn my head back to see Callum running towards me. He's always been an amazing runner. He's been fast ever since I can remember.

"Hey." I say biting into the last bit of my apple before throwing it in a bin that leads to the school.

"So your with Prim now?" I ask, my eyebrows cocked.

"Maybe." He says dryly but that doesn't cover the grin covering his lips.

"What do you mean maybe? How can it be maybe?"

I push the doors open and walk in the masses of people up all three flights of stairs.

"What's wrong with just messing around?" he asks.

I stop. Dead in my tracks I stop and look at the idiot in front of me. Is he really that thick or is his skull just too thick? The boy I've known since we were five. He was the one always saying that he wanted a girlfriend who was just his and how he was unwilling to share. What happened to that boy? Now he just objectifies them.

I say nothing but enter the class room and sitting right there, in the far back of the room is Natalie. My heart does some crazy flip and I feel quite sick. Not because she's disgusting but because she's so good. So pretty. So quiet. So lovely. I could go on.

I collect my history books from my locker and go and stand by her table.

"Morning." I smile. I hope my dimples are showing.

"I knew you'd be in." I shrug my shoulders at her reply.

She lightly smiles back. There's something about the faintness of her smile that makes it so appealing.

"Can we finish the notes on the history today? We need to finish and make it look good now." She tells me whilst yawning.

"Someone didn't sleep well." I laugh looking at her brown eyes that look like they could sink into an even darker shade.

"Sorry" she says rubbing her eyes.

"Yeah we can do that." I say nodding.

"Sit down!" Mr Thimbles orders as he walks into the class room.
