Mia's POV:

The night my amazing boyfriend gave me that promise ring has constantly been on my mind. I can't get over how good he is to me.

I'm currently laying on my bed debating whether or not to go to sleep. I probably should considering its 11:37 p.m. But it seems like my mind will never calm down. I am about to fall asleep when Travis texts me. He tells me to meet at his house 30 minutes before we go to school. Sounds good, I guess.

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Finishing up my daily morning routine, I grab an apple and walk to Trav's house. It's only a 20 minute walk, and I need the exercise.

A man in his early twenties started following me about a minute ago and he keeps getting closer. It's really starting to freak me out so I do what any reasonable girl would do: I ran. (I'm hoping you could sense the sarcasm in that last thought.)

Just like all the stereotypical stalkers, he sped up until he was at running speed. I sprint for a couple minutes, then look behind me to see if he is still chasing me. Well... I just learned a life lesson: never look back while running.

I end up hitting my hip on a fence post, smooth I know. The mystery man caught my arm with his hand and covered my mouth. These are the times I'm glad I took karate when I was younger.

Long story short, he left me alone. Well after I hit him in a guys "family jewels" a few times. Those family jewels might not be able to make a family anymore. Whoops.

I brush off my possible kidnapping as I arrive at Travis's house. I knock on the door and it opens to reveal heaven. Trav just got out of the shower by the looks of it, he has a towel hanging low around his waist. It's hard to concentrate on his face as the view is almost impossible to look away from. To top it all off his hair is wet and messy.

I need to get away from this. It's getting hard to breathe and I'm too young to die. There's so many people who hate me. My boyfriend has to be the one to kill me? And with his face. Well his body, torso to be exact. I need a distraction.

"So Travis, why'd you want me to come over?" I ask. "We could've went to school like we usually do."

"What? Now its a crime for your girlfriend to come over! What kind of world do we live in." He jokingly says. I glare at him because he always picks me up in the morning. So technically I would be going to school with him either way. He seems to get the hint because he continues. "Well today is different because we aren't going to school. We're ditching and going to the fair. It's annual ditch day for a reason."

He had a good point. A couple years back all the high school students planned a day to ditch and I guess it stuck. It's been going on ever since. The teachers know about it but they don't really stop it because they honestly don't care about their job. That or they get tired of "babysitting us" as my algebra teacher says.

"What kind of a girlfriend would I be if I didn't go with you. Plus that seems romantic." I wink at him. I figure since I was just gonna wear sweats and a t-shirt to school today, I should change. It seems Travis read my mind because he tells me I can go use some of his mums clothes.

I rush upstairs giddy to look through the closet full of brand name items. I end up picking out a white flowy top with splashes of pink, a black leather jacket and black leggings. I pair the outfit with a pair of Sarah's (Travis's mum) white lacy combat boots. I leave my hair as it is because this outfit surprisingly goes well with a messy bun. When I look halfway decent, I race myself down the staircase and run into an amazingly smelling, toned chest.

"You were in my way." I pout. He simply smirks at me and replies, "Yeah yeah whatever. Lets go." grabs my hand and starts walking to the car.

The fair came to my small town about 10 years back, so it's still fairly new. It's an hour away so it's sorta like a road trip with my boyfriend, not really but whatever. We pass the time by listening and singing along to the radio. Trav and I may or may not sing songs from Spongebob. What? We have to do something when the commercials come on.

We finally arrive at the fair and Travis insists on paying for my ticket. I have money for a reason. I see a roller coaster from outside the gates that I can't wait to ride. Once we get out tickets, I drag Travis into the line. And being him he starts laughing and comments that I'm being overly excited. Whoops, can't help it.

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

I forced Travis on a couple more rides and he made me go on some with him. Mine, of course, being the roller coasters and his being the tea cups. (Ok I may have switched those around a little, but who's keeping track.)

By the time we finished it was the late afternoon, 5:00ish. Travis just left to go get food for us. I'm getting a pretzel with salt and cheese and he's getting a hotdog, he's also getting a bag of BLUE cotton candy. I wanted pink but he said pink was too girly and blue was manly. It's cotton candy, Travis. Fluffy sugar can't be manly no matter what color it is.

He's been gone for almost 15 minutes now so I decide to go find him. What can I say I'm hungry.

Getting up from the picnic table I was sitting on, this girl about my age runs up to me. She has black silky hair in a side braid and bright green eyes. I can't help but envy her, she's stunning.

"Have you seen my sister? She's 8 years old with brown hair in pigtails. She ran off while we were waiting in line for the Thriller." She said frantically.

I'm about to reply to her when her phone rings, cutting me off. "Hello?......where was she?......really? Wow. Good thing you looked there......k thanks for telling me.......Love you, bye."

"I'm guessing you found her?" I ask.

"Yeah she was in the arcade, which is really weird. She hates video games." She says thinking to herself. "I'm Kate by the way."

"Mia." I reply, just as my stomach mimics the sound of a dying whale. Can you say spell embarrassing! "I should probably go get some food in me... But it was nice to meet you. Maybe we can get to know each other sometime."

"I'm actually new here so that would be great!" Kate says.

We exchange numbers and I go off to find my lovely boyfriend who owes me food. I walk to the food stand and he isn't there so I figure I should just call him. It rings twice and he ignores my call. What even Travis. I call again and hear his ringtone around the corner. I follow it, craving my food and see my boyfriend and the slut of the school kissing behind the bathrooms.

"What. The. Hell. Travis! YOU FUCKING GAVE ME A PROMISE RING! And you." I seethe pointing to Ava. "You're gonna give my boyfri- excuse me. Ex-boyfriend herpes."

"Oh my god Mia. It's not what it looks like." Travis says frantically.

"Really? It looks like my ex-boyfriend and the girl I hate most making out behind the bathrooms." I spit out, tears streaming down my face.

"I didn't-" He started, only to be cut off by me walking away

"Bye Travis."

Uhm. Sorry if you hate Travis at the moment. I wanna show you Travis's P.O.V. but that'll be in the next chapter.

Okayyy. By the way, thanks so much for the comments and votes. They mean a lot and inspire me to update because I love updating when I know you guys like the chapter.
