Travis's POV:
"Hey Mia. I need to talk to you." I tell her timidly. She's going to completely reject me. I know it. I shouldn't have even tried. She's just gonna hate me more, if that's even possible.
"Who are you again?" Wait what?
"Mia what are you talking about? It's me." I say as she looks at me with the most confused face I've ever seen. "Travis."
"I'm sorry Travis," Mia says, as if the name tastes foreign in her mouth. "I don't remember you."
"How could you not remember me. We were best friends for more then 3 years." After mentioning our past together she seems to understand.
"Look, you may remember me but I don't remember you. If you haven't heard about the accident then it's probably for the best. You seem like a nice guy and there aren't many of those in the world. All I will do is corrupt you. Just forget about me." Mia says, leaving me even more confused than I was in the beginning.
"What are you talking about Mia? I came to explain that night at the fair to you." I say. Even this doesn't seem to ring a bell for her.
"I honestly don't know what you're talking about. Whatever happened at the fair is in the past. If it's good go ahead and tell me, I could use some happiness right now. But if it's bad please just keep it to yourself." She waits for me to tell her and when I don't she walks away.
"Wait! We need to talk. Please it's important." This is my last chance to explain it all to her and I'm praying it works.
She turns around and looks at me for a couple seconds before speaking. "Fine. Meet me at dorm room 74 tomorrow at 6 pm." I try to contain my happiness but she notices a small smile. "And no funny business alright?"
"Yes ma'am" I say with a smile. This time I let her walk away for good. The satisfaction of seeing Mia again is so overwhelming it makes me extremely tired somehow. When I get to my apartment I close my eyes and drift off.
