Camila swiped the hotel key card into her suite, she carried a tray of breakfast in her hand - balancing and pushing the door with the other.

"Shit!" The heavy door closed back on her, knocking the coffee pot from the tray. Camila jerked back, feeling the splatter of hot coffee through her socks. Lauren stirred in bed, raising her head from the pillow, "Will you be quiet?"

Her wife slumped back into bed, pulling the sheets over her head. Camila huffed, squeezing her head in distress. Throughout the week Lauren had been more temperamental than usual and Camila was growing aggravated with her wife's attitude.

"Lauren, what's up with you?" Camila jumped over the mess to the side of her wife's bed, tugging the sheets away from her face. Lauren groaned, sitting up with her arms crossed, "I'm trying to sleep."

"You've been passive aggressive this whole week, what's the issue?" Camila waved her hands impatiently, slightly raising her voice. Lauren stood up from the bed, placing her hands on her hips.

"You danced with Y/N at our wedding, you disrespected me, don't you think?"

Camila eyes widened, she slapped her hand against her thigh at the idiotic situation.

This was what had been causing Lauren to act out all week?

"You switched partners too! You danced with Ally, and I'm not worked up over it!"

"But you and Y/N had history." Lauren stepped forward with hard staring eyes, Camila instantly tried to defuse the argument, not finding any reason to fight over it anymore.

"Exactly, HAD." She emphasized her point, closing the space between her and Lauren. Her hands reached over to embrace Lauren, "We just got married. Let's enjoy ourselves."

Lauren shoved Camila back, preventing the show of affection - Camila stumbled, regaining her balance on the corner of the bed.

"What the hell, Lauren? What's wrong?" Camila questioned her wife, there had to be more to the story - more motive to Lauren's sudden anger.

"You already know, don't ask stupid questions." Lauren began to slip on her shoes, her hands uncontrollably shook while she tied her laces.

"Fuck! Stop acting like this! She's your best friend!" Camila's voice raised its volume in an attempt to be heard but Lauren had no intention of listening.

"You looked at her! When we were at the altar! You wanted her to object! Do you think I'm stupid?"

Camila's eyes glanced around the room as she recollected her memory. If she had looked at Y/N, it was subconsciously, she hadn't done it purposely. The timing of her glance wasn't going to help her case either.

"I think you're being insecure..." Camila hadn't meant any harm with her words but with Lauren's reaction it was safe to say she'd been misinterpreted.

"What the fuck did you just say to me?" The back of Lauren's hand landed on Camila's face, and she fell with the force of it. She hadn't expected Lauren to be so strong, but there was enough weight behind the hit to stun her.

A stinging sensation made Camila's hand rise up to cup her cheek, an attempt to stop the pain behind it. Lauren towered over her, the sunlight coming from the window made Lauren's shadow cover her completely. Camila had never felt so small before, she felt humiliated, embarrassed at how weak she was.

Her mind continued to process the situation, she rushed to her feet, being short of Lauren's height by two inches. She hadn't noticed it before but in the midst of all the chaos, the insignificant trait popped into the millions of racing thoughts in her mind.
