Chapter 5

Sapna’s POV

As we landed at the Heathrow airport in London, England, Katie, dani, and ! looked at each other with smiles on our faces, and excitement in our eyes. We couldn’t believe we were actually here. After 4 years of planning, waiting, more planning, and even more waiting, we were finally here. We were finally in U.K.

Katie’s POV

As we were getting off the plane, I was more excited than ever, seeing that we were actually there.

When we got into the airport itself, I was so caught up in the excitement, I didn’t realize where Dani and Sapna went. I turned around to find them and I could’ve swore I saw Zach. But all I saw was a glimpse of brown hair. It could’ve been anyone. I went back to looking for Sapna and Dani. When I finally found them, which took me literally 30 seconds, we went to gather our bags from baggage claim. It wasn’t hard finding our bags considering what they looked like.

Mine was red with white polka dots. Sapna’s was pink with zebra stripes. And Dani’s was white with different colored bows all over it. Dani really, and I mean REALLY, liked bows.

We were waiting for Dani’s second bag, when someone tapped me on the shoulder. At first I thought it was Sapna messing with me, so I gave her the ‘Really?’ look. But then I heard someone go “Ahem”. It definitely wasn’t Sapna because I was looking right at her and she didn’t move her mouth, and it wasn’t Dani because she can’t make her voice that low.

When I turned around, my eyes locked with those beautiful blue eyes I so deeply longed for. I know it sounds cliché, but I don’t care because it’s true.

“Hi Katie.” That’s all he had to say. I dropped my bags and ran into his arms. We hugged for a good minute before I realized that Sapna and Dani were still standing there watching.

“Hi Zach.”

Zach’s POV

I was actually here. I turned down Katie’s offer so that I could surprise her. Dani and Sapna knew I was coming because I had to make sure it was okay with them first. I made them swear on Channing Tatum’s abs that they wouldn’t tell Katie. Why did I want to surprise Katie? Because I like her. Not the way I like Sapna and Dani. I liked Katie as more than a friend. I wanted her to be mine, but I don’t know if she likes me that way. That’s why I’m here. To see if she likes me.

The second I said “Hi Katie,” I mentally slapped myself. I’m here to win her over and all I can say is “Hi Katie”? I have to step up my game. I mean we’re in England after all. And she could easily fall for another guy while were here, so I have to make her fall for me first.

The upside of the stupid words that came out of my mouth is that she hugged me and I hugged her back.

“What are you doing here?”, she asked when she pulled away.

“I wanted to surprise you.”

“Sapna! Dani! Zach is here!” Katie sounded really excited, but that might just be because I’m her best friend.

“We know. We invited him to come along. But he made us swear not to tell you because he wanted to surprise you,” Dani explained.

“Yeah, he made us swear on Channing Tatum’s abs. That sealed the deal,” Sapna piped in.

“But I thought you were going to France with you parents?”

“It was a cover. I had my parents in on it to make you believe it.”

“YAYYAYAYAYAYA!!!! I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU’RE HERE! NOW I GET TO SPEND ONE LAST SUMMER WITH ALL MY BEST FRIENDS!”

Then we all had a huge group hug. So we finished getting our bags and started walking out when we heard screaming.

Sapna’s POV

“Why are there so many screaming girls,” I tried yelling over all the noise.

“Maybe the queen is here,” Dani yelled.

We all stopped in our tracks and looked at her like she was crazy. “Yes because when the president comes to town there are always girls screaming and crying. You seriously think these girls are crazy because the queen is here?!” I yelled. “It’s probably a band or something!”

“I guess it could be that too,” Dani said little more quietly.

“Let’s just get out of here before we get trampled and go deaf!” Katie yelled.

“Good idea!” Zach yelled.

As we were walking out, I bumped into someone really hard and fell backwards. I don’t know who I bumped into to, but the second I did all the girls went quiet. Whoever I bumped into, ended up falling right on top of me. I guess I closed my eyes when I fell because when I opened them I was met with the most beautiful blue pair of eyes. They were like ice. But not cold, they were gentle blue eyes. Like the ocean. The kind of eyes you want to dive into and dwell in for the rest of your life.

We looked into each other eyes for a good minute before he started getting up. As soon as he got up, he held out his hand to me and helped me up. It took me a couple seconds to realize who it was that I bumped into.
