"Your hand fits in mine like it's made just for me, but bear this in mind , it was meant to be."-One Direction, Little Things

Katie’s POV

“We are NOT playing footsie! We’re just sitting with our feet next to each other.”

Zach blushed, and then started laughing.

“You do realize that they are both the same thing right?”

“Yeah. BUt she doesn’t know that.”

“I’m pretty sure she does Katie,” he laughed. His deep voice was angelic.

We were sitting there and just kind of looking at our fingers intertwined with each other.

“So what do you want to do,” he said looking up from our hands.

“I don’t know. We could watch a movie. I brought ‘Pitch Perfect’ along, so we could watch that.”

“Yeah okay.”

“Okay. I’ll be right back I have to go get it.” As I stood up and let go of his hands, I immediately longed to hold his hand.

I sprinted like a gazelle into my room, got the movie, and sprinted back. I put in the movie and sat back down on the couch, next to Zach. At first I was just sitting next to him, but then he put his arm around my shoulder, and pulled me closer to him so that my head was on his chest. I could hear his heart beating and it made me giggle. He giggled too, and I could feel the vibrations from him laughing in his chest.

He took my other hand and intertwined my fingers with his. I looked up at him and was met with his beautiful blue piercing eyes. He kissed my forehead, and tightened the arm that was around my shoulders so that I was closer to him.

Zach’s POV

She was truly beautiful. When I looked at her while watching the movie and I kissed her forehead, I knew I did the right thing. If I didn’t kiss her when we were in the kitchen, I might have never been able to tell or show her how I felt. If I hadn’t had that 20 seconds of courage, we’d probably be on two different couches, just sitting there awkwardly. I hadn’t asked her out yet, because I thought it was all happening too quick I didn’t want to feel like I was pressuring her. I wanted to make sure she truly had feelings for me, and that this wasn’t just a summer fling or something. I wanted it to be just right when I asked her.

But I had to ask her before she finds someone else. I mean we were in England after all. She could easily find someone better than me while we were here. But I wasn’t going to let that happen.
