Puzzle: Snow Day!

"Yugi. Why is the street covered in white? Why is the window so cold?"

Yugi laughed at his Yami. Even though they had spent all this time together, Yami still had not seen snow. It made sense though, Ancient Egypt probably didn't have any snow.

"It's snow, Yami. It usually comes from the sky when it gets cold, like it is now. Joey called and told us to come to the park, we're all going to play in it!"

"Why would you play in something this cold?"

"Uh...." Yugi paused. Why did people play in snow? What was so fun about it? "I'm not sure Yami, but you're coming with me whether you like it or not."

"Fine..."

(Note: This is after the duel and the usual fanfiction prompt of Atem deciding to stay.

The two got dressed in warm clothes and said their goodbyes to Gramps as they left the shop. The walk to the park wasn't far, but it felt like miles with how cold it was, and the foot of snow on the ground.

"Yugi, are you having problems?" Yami asked, snickering slightly. Yugi trying to trudge through the foot of snow with his short legs was hilarious to watch, but Yugi thought otherwise.

"No! Just...um.."

"You're short."

"You're not much taller!"

At this, Yami burst out laughing and ran ahead, leaving Yugi to yell after him and try hopping through the snow.

Eventually, Yugi caught up as Yami entered the park, slightly out of breath and red nosed from the cold.

"You... You're.. That was mean!" Yugi finally breathed out, but was smiling as well. Yami just turned to Yugi and laughed.

"Well, it's not my fault you're small! Now let's go meet the others," Yami joked, and grabbed Yugi's arm to drag him along.

Eventually, they found Joey and everyone else, and they decided to surprise them with snowballs.

"Okay Yami," Yugi whispered from their hiding place as they watched the others. "You make a snowball like this..," he demonstrated, "and then you throw it. But first, we want to make a ton to be prepared," he said as he peered around the tree once more.

Yami nodded and began to help Yugi make a bunch of snowballs, making two piles of them. When they were satisfied, they peeked around to see their friends had went somewhere else. It had only taken them a few minutes to gather everything, so where had they gone?

Yami poked Yugi in the shoulder, saying, "Yugi... we may have some problems."

Yugi turned around and saw his friends had went around and snuck up on them. They stood at another tree with a bush next to it, arms crossed.

"Hey guys, what's with the snowballs?" Téa asked, although she already knew.

"Uh... nothing?" Yami said in an innocent tone no one fell for.

"You sure?" Joey piped up. He and Tristan were standing in front of something, the way they stood so close together, but Yugi and Yami didn't know what.

"Eh... Oh well. Let's go!" Yugi yelled as he reached for a snowball.

Yami paused for a second before realizing what he was supposed to be doing, but he took a snowball in the face for the hesitation.

Joey and Tristan had been guarding their own pile of snowballs.

"Oh it's on now! Nobody beats the King of Games!" Yami shouted before jumping to his feet, grabbing a snowball as well.

"Yami, I am. I beat you."

"Not important, Yugi."

The war was on anyway, and it lasted a good hour before everyone was tired out and were lying down on the ground.

Yami walked over to the tree where Yugi was sitting, and sat down next to him against the tree. He got some warmth from Yugi, but he was still freezing.

He'd been cold the entire time, but he didn't want to spoil the day for Yugi. Snow was weird to him, but he'd gotten used to it for the most part.

Joey and the others still had lots of energy all of a sudden, and were yelling and making snowmen and snow angels. Yami didn't have the energy to join them, and as he looked over at Yugi, he saw he didn't have the energy either. He had fallen asleep under the tree, and had unconsciously snuggled up to Yami for warmth. Which...didn't make sense with how cold he was, but apparently it was enough.

Yami smiled and laid his head on top of Yugi's, and dozed off as well.

Yami woke up to someone shifting around in his arms, and he was confused for a moment as to why he was so cold and why anyone would be in his arms. He finally opened his eyes and saw that Yugi had waken up, and was trying to slip away to play with his friends. Without thinking, Yami pulled him closer and mumbled, "Yugi...I'm cold, don't go."

When he realized what he had said, he started trying to scoot away a bit, but Yugi had snuggled back into his arms and said, "Me too, but stop snoring in my ears."

Yami blushed a little, he hadn't realized he snored, and it was even more embarrassing he had done so into Yugi's ears. He smiled a little before lying his head back down on top of Yugi's and falling asleep again, hoping their friends would wake them up before leaving the park.

I CANT DO SMUT BUT IM ALRIGHT WITH FLUFF AND STUFF BUT IDK HOW FLUFF THAT WAS BUT I THINK ITS CUTE.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed, I'll be working on another ship soon. I feel like I'm being more productive and getting these out quicker than I do with normal stories I've had in the past.
