Caitlin froze in her seat but knew she had to answer "My dad he got sick and passed away. My mom wasn't the same after so I moved her to live with my Aunt Kacy. My mom is so successful I would be in her shadow anyway that's why when I get old I'm going to work at S.T.A.R labs." Caitlin was trying to lighten the mood.
"Don't worry about it my mom was murdered when I was 11. It was late the sound it woke me up my mom was engulfed by red and yellow lightning my dad he tried to fight it. When suddenly I was 20 blocks away from my house. My dad was sent to jail for her murder and no one believed me not even Joe who took me in after the incident. I've lived there ever since with Iris which sucks because I have a crush on her always have." Realizing what Barry had said he stopped talking and looked down.

Caitlin smirked as she evaluated Barry. The way he spoke, the way he acted, his body language. Until he spoke again this time a little more careful with what he told his new friend. "Would you wanna sit with us?"
"I would love to seeing as I'm new I think it would be great to sit somewhere and not be so overwhelmed trying to find a seat."
"Great! You'll love Cisco you seem like you'd get along really well. Iris is really, really outgoing so don't be caught off guard. Carter her boyfriend, is kind of a show off don't mind him though. Then there is Becky who's my girlfriend even though I don't really like her but I don't want to hurt her."
"You should tell Iris how you feel and break up with Becky but let her down really easy and say exactly what you said to me. After you talk to Iris." She looked up and saw him smile.

The bell rang and he jetted upstairs passing the nervous freshman and obnoxious seniors. Art was his favorite he could express himself through his drawings. Let out his feelings with a pencil and paper. Ms. Doherty the art teacher knew about Barry's love of art and his talent. Often using his work as examples for students. She told them to draw an abstract of how there first few months at school made them feel. Barry took his time, paced himself drawing a misshapen heart which he knew all too well in his 16 year old mind. While others struggled, got frustrated or were just bored Barry knew he could rely on his art. When he finished Ms.Doherty smiled grabbing the paper and placing it so his classmates could see his work of art. Many complimented his work wishing they could do the same. His cheeks burned as everyone stared amazed. She kept his work to show future classes her eyes had a glimmer of proudness in Barry. He finally was excelling at something other than science or math.

"Nice work Allen!" Said Cisco his best friend since middle school.
"Haha thanks Ramon!" Cisco stared at him.
"Hey I invited the new girl Caitlin Snow to sit with us at lunch if that's okay with you. I think you'll be great friends she's like the girl version of you." He chuckled punching Cisco's arm.
"It's all good I met her in science she seemed pretty cool." Cisco's eyes glimmered mischievously at Barry.
"What are you planning Cisco?" Barry said his voice hinting of worry.
"I like her...." Cisco said suddenly interested in his shoes.
"You'd make a good couple." Barry smirked
"So would you and Iris.."

The comment was met with a small uncomfortable bit of silence from Barry feeling saddened reminded of his date with Carter, Becky and Iris. Cisco apologized kind of embarrassed." No dude it's fine I don't care really..." Barry said worried Cisco was feeling guilty.
"Alright well I have to be in chorus I have a solo and can't be late to practice it."
"Well done man!" Cisco said as he walked upstairs waving by to his best friend.

Barry headed to the music wing exciting to perform his solo that he had stayed after school to work on. He walked in and sat in his assigned seat noticing mostly everyone was gone except him and Jennifer Kelly. Suddenly Iris walked in along with Caitlin, Cisco, Becky and some of Jennifer's friends. "I figured having some familiar faces will help you with some unfamiliar faces." Said the chorus teacher.

When it was over he breezed through the next few periods excited to finally eat lunch with his friends new and old.
