Barry and Iris haven't tried anything like last night in fear of what Joe might do. Once the weekend was over the two hopped in the car together. Barry reached homeroom in signature Barry fashion 2 minutes late. He walked to Ms. Day's class his hand on Iris'. When they walked in together Ms. Day looked at Barry with a wink. He went on through the lesson excitedly. Even though they had been dating for a little over 4 days because Joe didn't know no one knew. Barry had always wanted to tell Miss Day since the day she told him to tell her. Barry and Iris walked from class to class hands bonded together, intertwining fingers, everyone's gaze falling on the couple. Tony who had been pining for Iris since middle school stared envious making snarky comments about Barry. "Well Tony I didn't know my boyfriends needed to be checked by you." Iris said walking away.

"Bye Iris I have art but I'll see you at lunch I love you."
Iris froze in her tracks like the words were ice.
"I love you too Barr!" She finally managed to get out.

The two finally separated went to their classes. Surprisingly everyone glanced at Barry whispering. When he reached art Cisco took him to the side instantly. "Yo! Me and Caitlin are dating. I see I'm not the only one you and Iris are the talk of the school. Congratulations dude!"
Barry taken back just smiled and said "What's everyone saying good or bad."
"Good stuff but Tony is a little pissed at you."
"I know he said some snarky stuff about me and Iris."
"Well I'll talk to you at lunch."
Barry sat in his seat free drawing impatiently. He knew it was almost lunch he sat in his seat containing his excitement poorly. The bell finally rang and headed to lunch. He smelled the warm pizza as he walked down the hall spotting Iris in the crowd. He made a dash for her and she saw him. He draped his arm around her shoulder her shirt falling farther down her shoulder. They say together at the lunch table with Caitlin and Cisco. As they normally did the last classes were done and they all headed to Cisco's house. Cisco had a room in house that was covered in comic books and movies. Him and Barry had gone there since 7th grade. Iris had been there a few times over the years. They often looked for a name to call this room. C&B hangout, Fortress of Cisco, till finally Iris said it Cisco's lair.

"So Cait this is my lair me and Barry have been coming her since middle school." Caitlin smiled.
Iris and Caitlin talked while Barry and Cisco looked for a good movie. Instinctively Cisco picked up Star Wars as it was how him and Barry became friends besides their adorable nerdiness. Caitlin went and got popcorn while Iris snuggled next to Barry. Iris and Barry had watched the trilogy so many times on Joe's late night and Caitlin had never seen it. So it was sure to be exciting.

When the movies were over it was dark. Barry and Iris hoped in the car and took Caitlin home. When they got in the house Joe was on the couch with some left overs. "Were you at Cisco's?"
"Yeah why?" Both said nervous.
"There was a shooter in his neighborhood. Not too long ago."
"We heard some loud bangs but thought they were just fireworks." Barry said a little taken back.
"I was a little worried about you too." Joe said very fatherly.
"Goodnight dad!" Iris said heading upstairs.
"Goodnight Joe!" Barry not too far behind.
Iris was in Barry's room not her own. She gripped her hands around his neck and kissed him. The two let each other out of the embrace. "Night Iris!" Barry said shutting the door smirking at her.

*Next Day*
"Good Morning Dad!" Iris said in her pajamas.
"Morning baby!"
She got some cereal and ate it quick. She bounced up to her room. Barry walked down and Iris grabbed his face and kissed him instantly waking him up. "Good morning Iris."
"Hi Barry!" She said a soft voice.
Iris put her hair in light curls. She wore a white crop top with lace and black leather pants with heeled black boots. The dress code at their high school wasn't very strict so she could away with such outfits. Barry stared at her longingly as they raced into the car Iris losing due to her heels. Barry gave Iris his jacket because of the thunderstorm. They reached school going through the day normal until science class. The teacher notices the window was slightly open so he asked Barry to close it. Barry tugged on the metal chains it got stuck and he looked up. Barry was thrown into a shelf of chemicals a flash of red lightning appearing on his cheek.
