High School Sweethearts

Date Night

    Joe had another late night tonight so Barry and Iris took advantage and had a date night. They went to an Italian restaurant together both dressed in their best clothes. Barry was wearing a striped button up with dark skinny jeans and his signature converse. Iris had her hair curled loosely pinning some pieces in front in twists, she wore a white blouse it was very flowy and complimented her shape, the dark blue skater skirt she was wearing was not too short but not overly long, her boots army green with a lighter green lace on the sides the heels weren't very drastic yet made the height difference less. The two walked out the door to the car where Barry opened Iris' door before entering the car himself. They drove to the restaurant excited for their first official date. Iris had a grin stretched across her face lighting up the whole room. Barry was having so many thoughts about Iris and hoped this date would go well. The two sat finally Iris ordering a Pepsi while Barry went with an ice tea. They both ordered spaghetti and meatballs which was their favorite things to cook. When they were finished and the bill came Barry offered to pay everything but Iris insisted on paying for something. She gave the waitress a $20 tip before walking out of the restaurant hand in hand with Barry. They drove home talking never a moment of silence. When they got home Barry and Iris both changed into comfy clothes relieved to be out of their date attire. Joe walked in at about 10:40 Iris had her head on Barry's lap fast asleep along with Barry. Joe decided not to wake them enjoying little moments like those when he came home after a stressful day of catching criminals. Saturday Joe stayed home with Barry and Iris. But Joe being a good detective became suspicious. Before Barry was always careful where he put his hands when he was holding Iris never going down to far her back being careful where he placed his arm. Iris never seemed to care always poking him and playing with Barry. But everything changed Barry didn't care where his hands were on Iris and Iris became aware of where hers were. That night Barry and Iris made Joe dinner. The two were in the kitchen acting like children making Joes favorite dish Lasagna. When suddenly he heard a crash and Iris' giggles stopped he yelled "Clean up the mess you two make!"

  At dinner Joe looked at the two teens and asked raising his eye brow "Is there something you two want to tell me?"
Barry caved in immediately "Me and Iris are dating!" He shot an apologetic look at Iris.
"For how long?"
"A few days." Iris said
