Confession of Love

Finally it was lunch. Barry walked down the hall smelling the taco salad which was his favorite. He sat at the table and looked at all his friends. He was with Cisco, Iris, Caitlin, and Becky. He looked around for Carter. Iris noticing this stopped him and said softly "We broke up"

"Oh Iris I'm sorry...." He stood up hugging her tightly she didn't let go for a while they just stood there like they were the only two people on the planet. They finally let each other out of the embrace. Iris slightly embarrassed apologized from bringing down the mood. Everyone laughed as they changed the subject. Before they knew it lunch was over and it was the end of the day. They walked out of the lunch room walking together happily still talking.

The last classes of the day flew by. Barry and Iris raced inside the house noticing a note left on the table.
It read 'I'm working a late night with my partner. There's some left overs or you can order a pizza your choice. Love you - Joe'

Iris smirked at Barry hinting to trouble. Barry tried to hide his smile but simply couldn't contain it. They say on the couch flipping through looking for something to watch. Barry remembered what Miss Day and Caitlin had said and decided to go for it. "Iris I need to tell you something don't interrupt me or try to change my mind because God knows I will stop. The day I met you I had a crush on you, we became best friends, we played truth or dare getting dared to kiss, we would talk late at night which most likely meant nothing to you but it meant everything to me. Every single one of those late nights I would have the words ready to say, but I couldn't get it out. I knew I loved you before I knew what love was. I was afraid if you didn't feel the same way I would loose you and I already lost my parents, I can't loose my best friend." Barry eyes began to swell with tears.
"You never will..." Iris said kissing him without thinking.

He kissed back but quickly pulled away reluctantly "I'm breaking up with Becky..." Barry called her and asked if they could meet because he wanted to talk.

They met at the waterfront near Becky's house. She asked why they were here nervousness in her tone.
"I don't think I can be with you anymore... I liked you a lot but then the feel-"
"You're in love with Iris" she muttered with an all knowing look.
"You're meant to be so go get her we're better as friends anyway Barry." She smiled punching him in the arm playfully, making him feel better about the whole situation.
"I felt so bad I didn't want to hurt you I'm so happy I didn't."
"Bye Barry see you at school!" Becky walked away.

Barry rushed back to Joe's house Iris looked at him as he hung his coat up. She looked at him so sincere as he sat down without thinking she kissed him. This time he didn't pull away he kissed back with passion. It filled every kiss they shared neither wanting to end the kisses. They would release just to take breath. He kissed her deeply and didn't stop. Barry laid her down on the couch not moving his lips from hers. Whispering into her ear "I love you Iris...." He felt her move up slightly and grab his face.
"I love you Barry...."
The two sat their looking at each other not knowing what just happened. Just as he leaned in for a kiss he stomach growled slightly. Looking at him laughing Iris smiled and said "Let's order some Big Belly Burger my usual!"

He grabbed his keys and his coat to protect him from the crisp November air. She grabbed hers and smiled. They walked to car both starving and they both loved 'Big Belly Burger'. They got to the fast food chain ordering their favorites off the menu. Iris reluctantly agreed to letting Barry pay for the meal noticing how cheap it was. When it was ready the two sat and ate. "This is kinda like a date right?" His smile turning up the corners of his mouth crinkling the skin near his eyes.
"That's an interesting way of looking at it. Next time let me take you to a nice restaurant in nicer clothes." He joked looking for a laugh which he got.
"Of course Mr.Allen you deserve it after how long you've waited."
"How about Friday night we go out to dinner in nice clothes, and eat nice dinners?"
"Sounds amazing."

(A/N) : Well it's been fun writing and I'm trying to keep the rating down hence stopping the kissing part. Sorry! I'll be writing more fan fiction and stories tomorrow. But this it for today! I will make the next chapter about the date I promise!!!!
