"what the hell ethan?" i yell, shoving him over.
"what's your problem?" he replies staring down over me.
"don't act like you don't know!" i reply.

people had started to look over at us.

"can we talk about this somewhere private. people are starting to look," ethan looks around.
"why are you embarrassed to be around me? to show that your talking to me when your 'like' elise so much." i reply quoting the 'like'.
"cmon paige," he says pulling me to the side.

ethan drags me into a classroom. "what's going on?" he asks.
"you tell me. why did elise say that you were with her last night?"
"what the fuck? i was never with her." he replies.
"and how am i supposed to trust that?" i exclaim.
"because i'm your boyfriend. your supposed to trust me." he says with his eyebrows starting to furrow.
"i never agreed to be your girlfriend," i reply.
"paige. i would never go back to elise. i promise!"

the bell suddenly rings and i just begin to walk away.

"don't walk away paige!" ethan yells.
"ethan. i need some time. i can't tell if your telling the truth or not. i need to be alone." i reply.

i leave ethan standing in the classroom by himself.

ethan's pov

i was so confused. i didn't understand why paige didn't trust my word about this. was there something she was hiding?

i went to class questioning everything.

"paige we have to talk. we're working on a project for gods sake." i say.
"just drop it e. if you want to talk to someone, i bet elise is waiting for you." she replies.

i don't know what's happening right now. why is she being like this.

"okay class. you know what to do. lets begin working on our projects!" Mrs. Knowles says.

we begin working on the project not even talking.

"excuse me students, id like us all to welcome our new student ryan pyper. he's new to jersey!" the principal says.

i look over at paige in complete udder shock.

"are you okay?" i ask
