A/N: HERE IT FINALLY FUCKING IS

... don't hate me?

Cas POV

By the time Friday came around, Dean was finally back to almost normal. By Wednesday he was sleeping through the night and would actually eat regular meals instead of forcing to deny himself nutrition. I know it's only because he wants to get Sam back and needs energy for it, but it felt good seeing him healing.

Sammie promised to break it to Kamren about what really happened while we're on this trip. We had all told our parents we were going on a joint camping trip over break. That gives us a week to get to Hell, pull Sam out, and get back. And also find time to get Kam's voice back.

Of course, all of these things could just be false hope, and we could be doing useless things. But, ya know, hopefully. I throw the last of the bag into the trunk of the impala, dusting my hands off, satisfied. I close the hood, turning around. Two hands quickly wrap around my waist and Dean's lips meet mine. I grow lightheaded by the suddenness of the action. He pulls away and I smile dreamily.

"I love you." He tells me. I almost fall over, my brow furrowing.

"I love you too. Are you okay?" I caress his cheek. He smiles, holding my hand against his face with his.

"Of course. We're about to get my brother back." He pecks me once more and my mom pops her head out of the door.

"BYYEEE! I LOVE YOU!!! TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES, OKAY??!?!" Dean laughs, nodding to her. I roll my eyes, opening the passenger door.

As I'm climbing in, Dean smacks my ass. "Ready for a road trip, sweet cheeks?" I blush, laughing. I nod.

"Ready as I'll ever be, hotness." He tries his best to hide a smile, and shuts my door. After he climbs in, he pulls out a stack of CD's, tossing them to me.

"Pick the one called Road Trip." I shuffle through for a few minutes, then finally find it. Sliding it into the player, Dean cranks up the volume, already bobbing his head to the music.

Then, ever so subtley, the first song plays.

"CARRY ON MY WAYYYWARD SOOOON. THERE'LL BE PEACE WHEN YOU ARE DONE."

I smile. I always love Dean's taste in music.

***
Three hours into the trip, we all stop at the first rest stop.

Dean and Sammie meet up to talk about directions.

"So where exactly are we heading?" Dean asks her, crossing his arms. Sammie reaches into her pocket, pulling out a map. She points, and my eyes widen.

"HOLLYWOOD?" I ask, astounded. Ive always wanted to go to Hollywood. This was like some twisted dream come true. Sammie nods.

"Yeah. The actual sign is the front door entrance, but if you go down the road a bit there's a cave. It's like the back door no one uses anymore, ya know?" We both nod.

"Okay. So we have approximately 15 hours of driving to get there, and only 5 more hours of daylight." Dean states. "Did we pick out a campground?" He and Sammie begin to ramble on about technicalities.

I turn around, my eyes landing on Gabe. I smile at him, approaching.

Hes leaning nervously against Sammie and Kamrens truck. "Hey." I greet. He looks up, caught off guard. Then he attempts to smile at me.

"Hey, big brother." He says. He tries his best to look happy, but his eyes remain sad.

I put a hand on his shoulder. "You know we're gonna get him back, right?"
A tear glistens in his eyes as he continues to force the smile. "Yeah. Yeah I know." He turns his face away to brush away the tear.
