Chapter 26

Omg guys I am so sorry for not uploading recently or I guess updating. I haven't really been online lately so sorry guys. Iv been so caught up in my YouTube channel so if you guys want to check that out that would be great. Anyways guys here you go... chapter 26... Ima warn you. It's got a cliff hanger

POV: Nick

"Dang it! I can't believe I lost two people with info!" I should probably get back to Elizabeth. Theirs no way she kept up. I backtracked my steps until I saw a small red spot on a tree. It looked like blood.

"Oh no, was this a trap!?" As I rounded the tree my fears were confirmed. I looked down and picked up the note which read:

Dear Nick

I bet your wondering where Elizabeth is aren't you? Well I hope your happy to know that she's safe...
With me. You should really try to be more careful with your more valuable possessions. Oh, and if you were wondering; it was a trap.
P.S.
You should probably get back to your pack house... fast.

-Your dearest friend, Draconis.

As I finished reading the letter my mind froze. I couldn't think, move, or speak. I stood there for about 3 minutes when my mind finally started to process once more.

Get back to your pack house... fast. The second time I thought about that everything clicked. I ran. I ran as fast as I could but I knew it wouldn't be enough. I wouldn't be fast enough and everything would be gone. All my family dead. She was coming. And she had an army.

1 hour later

The rage that I had inside me and the rage that my wolf was providing as well was all sweeping up into one very VERY angry werewolf. I snarled at the people holding me down, I bit at the chains that had been locked around my hind legs. All of this was because of Draconis. I just watched my entire family die. The only people left were Huntress who might be dead and Elizabeth.

I was being forced to look into Draconis's eyes and stare deep into her soul which could only hold evil. Staring next to her, bound up in chains as well was my mate, Elizabeth. This was what was causing me the most rage. I couldn't handle seeing her in distress. My wolf howled with anger inside of me and I felt the pain. I felt all of the pain. It was like someone was stabbing me repeatedly in the heart t I just couldn't die.

"Ain't so tough now, pup. I guess all of this really was worth it. Just to see your face as you watch me steal this girls wolf." The evil, twisted, and threatening voice said.

"LEAVE HER ALONE!" I barked!

"And why would I do that?" The voice said, almost sweetly but there was a dark edge to it.

"Because I'll give you anything!" I yelled.

"But you can't give me what I want. You don't have the power to. So what I want is for you to sit still and watch as I "

"SHUT UP, NOW!" I interrupt. "JUST SHUT UP!"

"HOW DARE YOU INTERRUPT ME!" Draconis's voice hisses. Her hand flies towards and silver dagger and chucks it at me. It misses me by inches but I can feel the poison radiating off of it. She screams in rage and picks up her staff.

"I summon those of Helda's might. Bring forth the power to seize the light. Bring forth the mighty Frokadon." The witch says in a horrible, dark and twisted tone.

My eyes lock on an object that had emerged from above the staff. It looked like... a rip in the world? But how could that be?! A claw comes forth through the gap in reality and then a head. The creature was dragon like but too small. It looked slightly bigger than a baby elephant so it couldn't be too powerful could it be?

The creature looked straight towards me as I said that as if it could read my mind. I CAN READ YOUR MIND. I froze. That... thing. Could read my mind, take power from a semi-werewolf, AND speak in people's minds?! That is just ridiculous. Elizabeth's eyes widened even wider than before. They looked as though they might pop out of her skull. Just as her eyes got so wide I thought it would be impossible to open them wider they widened.

Her screams were muffled by the gag they had in her mouth. Even with the gag I could still hear her clearly. With my heightened senses it sounded like she was screaming just next to my face and into my ear.

The creature lifted one of its claws and reached towards Elizabeth. I screamed for it to stop but it wouldn't listen. The claw touch Elizabeth's neck and just as everything seemed lost, my mind froze. I thought about that first time I had met Elizabeth. I thought about running in the fields with my little sister. I thought about that one time when I had surprised my sister and she jumped just about ten feet in the air and all we could do was laugh.

My thoughts were all of the sudden crowded with all the dark memories. Of my mom being held up dead, by the rogues. I thought about Silver. I thought about the pain. I thought about all the fighting. All of the yelling, all of the sadness. My brain got to the point when it couldn't comprehend anymore and I just gave up. I snapped back to reality and everything happened so fast I couldn't keep track of it. At that moment all I could hear were Elizabeth's screams.
