Chapter 15

Your Pov

I had finished my first week in college. It wasn't so bad, but maybe because I had no clue what's to come in the future.

It was Saturday and I had woken up early because I got used to being an early bird. I decided to go to the store and get some things I had been meaning to get.

I get dressed and make a list of things I need. I grab a quick snack bar and head out.

The weather was nice. It wasn't too hot or that humid. It was much better than the cold and windy days back in Chicago.

I walk along the sidewalk, constantly looking at my phone for directions to the closest Target. Finally, I reach my destination.

I go along the aisles getting a few snacks, new shampoo and conditioner, new makeup etc. I finally got to the cash register and placed my things on the counter.

The employee was a young teenage boy. I would be lying if I didn't say he was cute. I try to act casual and put a hair of strand behind my ear while I looked at my items.

I notice that the previous customer already left so I stepped up.

"Did you find everything you were looking for?" He says smiling.

"Uh yeah. Thanks." I say stuttering.

Gosh he was beautiful. He had a perfect smile and he was built, not too much, but just right.

"Sorry if this sounds weird but you're beautiful." He says.

I look up at him, and blush like crazy. I could feel my cheeks burning.

"Thank you, you're very sweet." I say

"$21.05 Is your total, will that be cash or credit?" He says doing his job.

"Debit." I reply.

After I pay, and he places my items into a bag, he grabs my arm.

"Listen would you want to hang out sometime?" He asks

I get excited but try not to look like an idiot. "Sure" I say smiling.

He gives me a piece of paper and tells me to call him tonight.

"The name is Andrew by the way." He says laughing.

"Nice to meet you, I'm y/n. I'll talk to you later then." I say placing the paper in my pocket.

I walk out of the store happy as ever. I can't believe someone as hot as that talked to me.

I pull out my headphones and then proceed to call my sister. I wait for her to answer while I walk back home.

"No way!!" She yells

"I know right! And he's so dreamy" I say sounding like a middle school girl.

"Well I have to go but be sure to tell me all about it tonight." She says laughing.

"I will don't worry. " I hang up.

I continue walking and see a cute dog outside of a starbucks.

I stop for awhile and look at the dog. I then start petting him and he gets more excited.

"Aww you're so adorable." I say

"He really is, isn't he." I heard from behind me.

I quickly turn around to apologize to the owner and explain how I just really love dogs. Until I realized it was Jai.
He must have noticed me too because we stared at each other for quite awhile.

"Hey nice to see your face around here!" He says excitedly.

"We keep bumping into each other." I say laughing.

"Maybe you're just following me." He says jokingly.

"As if."

"Hey uh is there some place you have to be?" He asks nervously.

"No I was just heading back to my place to drop off some stuff."

I could tell from his body language that he wanted to ask something. Maybe he wanted to hang out?

"If you want to, you can tag along. And then we can do something" I say.

"Yeah that sounds like fun. I'm sure hamlet would love the walk." He says laughing. 

We both start walking and he offers to help me carry my bags while I hold onto hamlet's leash. He tells me about all the nice places to go to in LA. Before we know it, we reach to my place.

"I'll be right back." I say leaving the both of them alone.

After seeing a note from Mark explaining that he was off to work, I put the bags in the kitchen counter and went downstairs.

Jai was sitting down in a bench watching hamlet bark at a squirrel.

"He does this all the time."

"Well you can't blame him, he is a dog after all." I say sarcastically.

"Haha very funny." He says

"What now?" I ask sitting next to him.

"Well theres a dog park not too far from here, I'm sure you'd meet lots of great friends there."

I punch him in his shoulder and he laughs. "Kidding!" He yells.

I don't know what it was, but something about his laugh made him more adorable.

I shook my head and replied, "alright then let's go" I say pulling him off the seat.

Finally, they get to have a normal conversation. 😂 I changed the picture for the story, I like it a lot. 😌
