We walk out of the school and onto the grounds.

“The cabins are this way,” Belladonna says, pointing to the left, the opposite direction of the school office building.  We walk in that direction for a minute and then see the cabins.  Half of the school is here already, so it’s a little crowded.  Dana says that the cabins are in alphabetical order, the “A” cabins closest to the school.  So we walk down the gravel road and down to the “N” cabins.

We walk into the cabin.  It’s nice.  You walk through the door and there’s a small hallway with one door on each side; both are bedrooms.  We walk farther in and see the tiny kitchen and the living room which are on the right.  To the left there’s another bedroom.

“I’ll have this room,” I say, pointing to the one farthest from the door.

“Okay,” Belladonna says.  “I’ll get the one on the right of the door.”

“And I guess I get the room on the left,” Dana says.

We all go to our rooms.  I walk into mine and realize that it’s pretty big for such a small building.  There’s a queen-size bed, a dresser, some chairs in a corner with some books, and a vanity.  There’s also a porch with French doors.

The room seems to have been designed for me.  There’s a lot of things that are blue, my favorite color- the shaggy rug, the sheets and pillows on the bed, the chairs, the lava lamp which has blue water and purple lava, and even the walls have some blue.  The thing is, it’s all different shades of blue, which makes it really appealing.  I walk into the living room/kitchen combination and see Dana sitting at the counter and Belladonna searching the fridge.  As I walk by Belladonna I push her into the fridge and she almost falls but catches herself.  Dana laughs.

“What was that for?!” Belladonna shouts, but a grin forms on her face and we all start laughing.  Belladonna tosses me a Dr. Pepper, Dana a Sprite, and gets herself a root beer.  I take a sip of my soda, and suddenly my phone rings.  I answer it without even looking at the caller ID.

            “Hello?” I say into it.

“Nita!  Damn, I couldn’t find you this morning!  Where are you?” says Peter’s voice.

“Peter?”  I look at Belladonna and Dana and they’re making smoochie faces at me.  I roll my eyes.

            “Yes it’s me!” says Peter.

“What’s wrong?  Why are you so worried?”

“Well, this morning I went by your house but you weren’t there.  Then I checked your grotto but you weren’t there, either.  Then I searched the marketplace and you weren’t there and I got really worried.”

“Oh.  Sorry to scare you.  Hey, hold on a second.”

            “Okay.”

I cover the speaker.  “You guys wanna go outside?” I ask Belladonna and Dana.

“Sure,” they say in unison.  We walk outside slowly along the gravel road and I uncover the speaker.

            “I’m back,” I say.

“Okay.  So where are you?” Peter asks.

“Actually, I’m just… walking around with some friends.  What about you?”

“I got transferred to this school this morning.  I’m not in Troy anymore.  I think I’m somewhere in the States.”
