The days flew by, and before I know it it is Monday morning. The days passed without major unexpected events. The storm came and is still hovering over not so sunny California right now. We had spent long nights sat in front of the tv. But all we can do now is wait. The party is tonight and Nic won't tell us who's coming or what we're watching at all. Gwynn is coming over to pick out what to wear and get ready for movie night."Knock knock!" I hear Gwynn squeal excitedly.
"Hey! I'm in here!" I call back from the living room.
"Oh.My.God." She starts to shake with excitement. "I am soo excited!!! My mom took me to the in-ship mall today, and we bought new outfits for the party! You and I get to pick our favorites!!!" This was shocking because Gwynn's mom almost never buys all new outfits for Gwynn, let alone me! Gwynn had stopped growing at 5'6 and I guess her mom thought it was pointless to buy her new clothes.
"Yayyyyy!" We shriek in unison. 2 and a half hours later we both have great outfits picked out and are flopped over from exhaustion on my bed.
"Ughhh" I groan. "We still have to do hair and makeup."
"Woo! That's the best part!!" She says, instantly regaining her energy. Another hour later we are all done up and ready to go with half an hour left. Record time!

Gwynn:
We're looking for something to do, when my phone starts buzzing. It's Kai. I pick up, not knowing what he wants.
"Hey, can you come over and help me tie this thing?" He asks, obviously flustered.
"Sure." I laugh.
"It's not funny! It's just not my forte." He insists, trying to regain his manly image. I'm the only one who can see past his manly shell and into his child-like adorable center. I tell Gwynn I'll be right back and go over to see what he needs to be tied.
I knock on Kai's front door and he answers, frustrated with himself and his shoelaces. I almost fall to the ground laughing, but Kai catches me.
"What is do funny?!" He demands.
"You, Can't, Tie, Your, Shoes!!!" I gasp for breath in between each word from laughing so hard.
"Would you just shut up and tie them?" He begs.
"Fine." I say, smiling. He goes and sits on the counter high chair and props his foot up for me to tie.
"Wow. You look great.!" he says
"Thanks." I say, blushing. "You don't look so bad yourself." I say looking at his dark jeans and button down shirt with the first 3 unbuttoned.
"Hey Rose! Are you ready to go?" I hear Gwynn call from outside the door.
"Yah! I'm coming!" I yell back. " See you later Kai!" I say hitting his arm jokingly.
"Bye! I'll see you there!" He calls back, and in pretty sure I hear a soft "ow" right before I shut his door.
