The next day was just like any other. Kai was outside asking me to come out , and as usual I complied. As usual I was nagged and teased but it always ended up with us both laughing in the sand. This time my other friends Alora, Gwyneth, and Sebastian were over as well. Mateo and Nicolette weren't able to because they had sports practice.
Kai had thrown me over his shoulder and I heard Alora and Gwynn laugh as Kai charged into the water and flipped me into it. I shrieked with laughter as Bastian and Kai started to splash me with water. I shouted at them to stop, but only then did we hear the sirens telling us to get inside and turn on the tv. We had never had this emergency signal in the time I had been there. But Kai, Alora, Gwynn, and Bastian looked calm and told me it was probably just a storm. We didn't know what was coming yet.
