Ava's POV
"So lunch is split in half so every student can have a chance to eat" Kelly explained. We were heading to lunch and I was so glad that I packed my own once I saw how long the line was. The line continue out of the main area where you get your food.
Kelly and myself ended finding a table where nobody was sitting yet. "What do you have for lunch?" Kelly sat down opening her Couch bag revealing a salad.
I giggled "Same as you" I showed her my salad as she smiled and shook her head.
Out of no where there was a tense feeling on the air as the lunch room suddenly got quiet. I turned to the entrance to see that Gia and two other girls following closely behind her.
They were dressed in the same type of style. Leather jacket, boots and a plain tshirt. But the twos others were dressed in black head to toe. "Who are they?" Kelly was to busy munching on her salad minding her business.
"Sisters." She shoved more salad into her mouth. I watch as Gia picked up a water bottle and payed for it. "Why are you staring at her?" Kelly titled her head.
I just shrugged because I didn't have reason. Seriously I didn't. Gia scanned the room and her eyes landed on me. She started towards my table followed by her "sisters". There were still plenty of empty tables but why mine?
"Can I sit here?" She pointed to the seat and leaned her head forward so her hair fall in her face. Must be habit.
"Um sure" I push my books over so there was room for her. "You guys can leave" Gia lounged back in the seat as she look at her sisters. They both nodded and left. They looked closely alike except their facial features.
"So how's your day Gia?" Kelly asked not bothering to make eye contact while she looked down at her salad.
"Good I guess" Gia shrugged in reply. I honestly didn't know if I should start a conversation or not. Gia was pretty awkward, it seemed that any conversation topic would just make things more tense. I looked at her to see that she was on her IPhone and was watching The Fosters. The hell.
"You watch that too?" I pointed at her phone, like a kid at the store finding a new toy they want, she looked at me and grimes at me.
"Yeah I'm on season 3 so far." She leant more in her seat with her legs wide open as she rested her hands on the back of her head. Running her fingers through her hair nonchalantly and continued watching the show.
I stood up to throw away my garbage while Kelly was still finishing eating. I tossed my container in the trash and started walked towards my table. Apparently when I left Kelly and Gia started to have a deep conversation to where it looked like they were friends.
She seemed to not have a care for her in the morning but I guessed not.
"Well I have to leave. See you in chemistry, Ava" Gia got up and pushed in her chair and grabbed her water bottle. I nodded as she did a small wave and turned around.
"Hmmm you are in some deep shit there" Kelly shock her head humming 'mmmhhhmmmm'.
"What did I do?!" I raised my hands in surrender even though I was surrendering to nothing. Kelly shrugged and packed up her stuff as followed I suit.
Chemistry Class
" I'm going to give your books for the year and your first assignment" Ms.Belle, no older than forty, was passing out papers, packets and the whole nine yards. Gia seemed pretty amused watching students groan and make a gun out their hands and pointing it at their heads.
"Why are so happy" I looked at Gia as she had a smirk in her face.
"I just enjoy watching people be miserable" Gia pulled on her hood as the sun started to get brighter through the blinds. Werewolves, vampires and witches were rare in town so it was surprising to meet one.
"I'm a vampire if you're wondering" she looked at me from under her hood, her eyes were more noticeable because they were brighter than from earlier.
"You didn't need to tell me that" I pulled out a pencil and started to work on the assignment. Hopefully I would make through this class without Gia staring at me the whole time and get the assignment done.
She then started to scoot her chair over to my end of the table and purposely put her leg in front of mine making us have contact.
"Can I help you?" Gia was smirking she then slowly shock her head and looked out the window.
Once the clouds were covering the sun to the point that it would be a while for the clouds to move away she removed her hood of her head.
She turned towards me sideways and cocked her head to the side as a dog. "What is your favorite color?"
"Pink" I said fondling up the worksheet we were assigned.
"Can I get you flowers?" Gia then started to bounce her leg up and down.
"I don't need flowers. Plus they will die within a week anyways so it's useless" I shrugged and packed up my stuff and waited for the bell to ring.
"Do you want something else"
"No"
"Do you like chocolate"
"Yes"
"I'll get you some!"
"No"
And that's how the last 20 minutes of class ended. Gia trying to buy me things and me saying no. The bell had rang and I ran out of class and into the hallway reaching to my locker to go home. Gia was chasing me in halls dodging people in the halls.
I looked behind me and she wasn't there. I started to quickly putting in my combination and grabbing the stuff I needed.
I looked around seeing that it was clear. As soon as I closed my locker Gia was standing there with her backpack and had her hood on again.
"I found you" she whispered into my ear and I felt her started to bite on it but not enough to hurt.
"You're not getting out my sight ever, do you understand?" Gia held my face in her hands as she looked down at me.
"Why are you like this? You barely know me"
"Because I can and I want too"
