Gia's POV
_____________________________

And she throw up on me. Well there goes my outfit. Ava groaned and turn over on to her side while clutching her stomach.

"I'm dying" she wheezed out and curled up into a ball. I held in a chuckle from her words and decided that it wasn't the appropriate time to laugh at someone's illness.

I bite down on my wrist, making blood spill out. I turned her body so that she was facing me since I was kneeling at the edge of the bed. Her skin was instantly lighter after her vomiting.

"Drink it" I placed my wrist in between her lips and watched her latch on to it.

She slowly started to drink my blood making her skin go back to its normal skin tone. She then started to cough and make a wheezing sound. The couch was dry and loud. I quickly reached behind her and patted her back, in need to help air flow.

Dark blood splattered out her mouth and onto the white sheets of the bed. She continued to wheeze and cough.

The tips of her fingers were turning black and I grabbed on to them, discovering they were beyond freezing. Incoherent words were spoken from her, her words were to jumbled and blended together to understand. Her body started shivering immediately as she tried to communicate with me.

Her symptoms fit perfectly with plague.

I quickly got up and run down to the Doctors Wing, that located on the other side of the castle. I burst through the doors frightening the doctors and nurses. Some even dropping their clipboards, creating a loud obnoxious noise.

"Your Queen has the plague. Heal her." I shouted at them.

They quickly grabbed their materials and body gear they needed. (A/N if you wanna like you know imagine those huge beak mask they used back then why tf not) Back at the room they examine Ava, everybody was working on something. Out of everyone I wasn't wearing a face mask.

Vampires can catch the plague, but honestly don't give two shits of thinking about catching. I'm worried about my Queen. I sat down by Ava and held her hand, feeling how cold she was.

"My King you need to wear a face mask. This is a dangerous plague we are facing. We can't risk have another leader sick" A female doctor held out a face mask at me.

"I don't need it" I said rubbing my thumb along Ava's pale hand that was slowly turning black up from the fingertips.

"My King you need-" she tried to reason again. She held the mask out in front of me, urging me to take it for my own health.

"Just do your damn job and treat your Queen!" I shouted making Ava flinch. I kissed her nose in apology. She gave me a weak smile.

"We are going to give her medicine for her to hold her food down later and other vaccines that would hopefully help" The female doctor with the name of Aura pulled out a syringe and filled it with a crystal clear liquid.

Ava's shaking had increased to the point where it could be mistaken for a seizure. I held her arms in place so that she wouldn't squirm away.

"You have hold still." I rubbed her back trying to distract her away from the doctor.

Aura position the needle into her arm
One she was done all the doctors cleaned all the materials. I picked up her up and placed her on the couch so I can put on clean sheets.

After changing the sheets and my clothes, I went back over to Ava to find her on the bed again curled up into the blanket and the massive amount of pillows.

I sighed and placed both of our crowns back into their cases then crawled into the bed. I pulled Ava's body towards mine not caring that I possibly catch the plague as well.

She curled into the side of my body placing her arm around my waist holding on to me.

Next Morning

Ava made it through out the night without coughing or vomiting which was a good sign. I was already dressed when Doctors started to pile into our room already setting up the materials. Ava shifted in the bed from the noise of the doctors but slowly went back to sleep.

"It's better if she is asleep rather than awake. There is will be less pain" I heard of the nurses said as she put on her face mask. One the head doctors walked up to me and bowed his head.

"My King we were able to find a treatment to get rid of the plague." he held a bottle of black liquid and shook it for me to see.

I toke it from his hands and looked at it closely, "Where did you get this?"

I placed the glass bottle on the side table and looked at the doctor in confusion. I wasn't going to have some doctors put some type of black substance into my Queens body without knowing about it first.

"Your Mother was able to get hold of one her friends that makes medicine for the royals. We already tested it out on a minor patient and the results were perfect" the doctor smiled a little.

"Isn't Ava the first person to get this plague?, because last time I checked no royal has caught the plague. If they did, I would have known" I stepped into his face, scaring him in the process.

He didn't answer my question because I knew he was lying. The medicine was fake.

"Leave!" I shouted and watched as he quickly left the room. I picked up the bottle and tossed into the trash. Ava's coughing fit started up again. It started to get worse.

Doctors rushed over to her side and gave the same medicine from last night to make her fall asleep again. I continued to watch the doctors examine her but being careful not to wake her up.

"My King there's a cure" A new doctor walked in but with a different medicine. She showed a clear bottle with a blue liquid.

"Do whatever you can" I sighed and sat on the nearby chair set next to the bed.

I watched quietly as they injected the whole bottle into Ava's body. Slowly her skin tone was returning back to normal.

"It will take a few hours for her to wake up and feel normal. When she wakes up though make sure she only water for 24 hours and small portions of food" the doctor instructed.

I smiled at the doctor and thanked them as they left. I got distracted when I felt my phone ringing in my pocket.

I toke it out and on the screen read "Marcus". Hoe stay I forgot he was in the castle.

"Hello?"

"Hey Gia, do you think Pizzahut would still be able to deliver to the castle or nah"

I sighed and rubbed my eyes "Yes they can"

"Sweet thanks!"
