The journey of starting and completing Ash and then starting and completing Pastry has been incredible. I was nervous about putting out my raw feelings and emotions in such strong detail. But then I remembered that Taylor Swift does the same, so why not? Somehow I was able to concise a whirlwind of emotions, confusion, and vulnerability into a series of 19 (Ash) and now 29 poems. I knew that with each collection I wanted to dig deeper, which also meant an increase in poems. About halfway through writing Pastry, around chapter 19, I began to regret setting the goal for myself to write 29 poems.

"Why 29? Why not just cap it off at 19, and begin book three?" I kept asking myself.

The reason was because: this collection/series is all about growth and getting out of my comfort zone. Achieving a goal that seems almost impossible in the beginning is the greatest feeling in the world. I started on Wattpad when I was a sophomore in high school--circa 2013. I had this incredible story written called Chasing Rain and it had of 2K in a few months. I was so caught up in it's sudden success that I  completely lost the motivation for both the story and Wattpad altogether. So, three years later, I knew that I had to make a change. Ironically, when I started writing Chasing Rain is around the same time I started writing Ash. It's amazing how things come back around full circle. This time, by setting a goal, I was able to focus on what was really important. That is, my passion for writing and releasing my emotions.

Thank you for reading and supporting and commenting and voting your hearts out for these two books. I never saw my writing to be relatable. Quite frankly, I always thought that I was exaggerating my feelings towards people. But it means the absolute world to me when you comment "This is gold!" or "If felt the same way." or even just "Amazing." You are the reason why there is a book two.

I especially want to thank my always supportive friend dilemma09 for consistently reminding me that Ash wasn't trash, and that she felt something while reading it. dilemma09, book two wouldn't have been a complete project without you. Thank you my wonderful literature darling!

I don't know if you guys have any questions about title choice or the book cover or my inspiration for the Ash series. But if you do, please leave a comment down below and I'll start an FAQ thread in this chapter.

I love you to the moon and back.

Thanks.
