holding on
the stress has
been lifted
from her brain
she knows she's done well
this semester
but feel unsatisfied
she could've worked harder
even though the exam results are
already locked in
her best friend is
spinning around
and
holding on
"that girl is real crowd pleaser"
she keeps singing
they can't freeze time
this time
the hours past so fast
time keeps
spinning around
refusing to
hold on
her friend puts her feet up
"i feel trapped and
the need to
push on the walls
of this nest."
she pushes on the walls that refuse to break
contorted in the bird's nest
this is what their parent's
